The only thing that ever bothered me about the twist-lock/powerfeed setup was having to use the weak plastic 45 degree feed elbows. Way too fragile for such a vigorous sport.

Doc we do live in a "throw away society"

Yeah I noticed that I'm suprised that nobody has played around with some stronger materials like carbon fiber or something. granted powerfeeds are basicly obsolete but I can see them making a come back with the older generations.

ok i stoped reading when the posts got really long but wouldnt it be a good idea to try to adapt a twist lock type barrel that wasnt part of the breach? that solves alot of the problems people talk about.

but i do love my cocker threads since they are so common now

We had some decent ones that didnt break back then. Dont need them now with the warp feed.[body] Who uses that silly hopper on top thing these days?

They did. That is how the very first ones were made. Less issues with the breach in barrel.

You got some good points Doc. I never had any issues with the OEM barrels tho, still useing them today.

Twist lock and power feed are Great for fast cleans. Twist barrel or PF, clear barrel one shot run swab or squeegee all the way to bolt. Five second job to be straight again.
It doesnt matter today. Nobody breaks paint anymore do they?

Current guns can not show you if you have a ball in the breach (well thats a power feed issue but what the heck )

Hey back when Safety mattered the PF and TL was great. Wasnt clearing the breach the first rule or was it the second for making your Gun safe before entering a Goggles off[safe area]
How safe are these folks today when every gun still has a ball in the barrel in a safe zone?

            Peace Out
