but it has a negative value because it's crappy. they have had good marketing up to this point, did they switch agencies or something?

and we got you to admit it was cheesy, so you can't get to mad at us for bagging on it

I was not mad. I just pointed out that it is not out of the norm for now days. And I actually think it was done like that on purpose. It is a style, not because they couldn't do it any better. There is a difference.

It has no merit, I'm sticking to that. Sure I'll remember it... and how crappy it was. It now has made me not want to support that company simply so their ad agency doesn't get that much more money. It's a crappy commercial and it doesn't do what a commercial is supposed to do. Many commercials these days are made for entertainment, but they still fit in the qualities of the company / product. And many are also still good commercials. Don't say that most commercials are like this SP one. Even by today's standards, this thing was sub-par.

LOLROF I give them a thumbs up for getting your dander up alone. If you are this worked up over a commercial I would hate to see you on the field or when something actually matters in life.

Relax. Now do a little dance!

            Doesn't that feel better?

that add was wierd, but you never got to see what was in the box. Mabe It was thier secret form on how many times a month an ion needs to be serviced. I heard from an underground smart parts guy that the secret was twice a week on average for an ion. But who knows for sure.

If I didn't know much about paintball I'd wonder what that whole thing was about.

It would have been more effective to have 30 seconds of Dynasty playing with Afroman music in the background. And SMART PARTS subliminaly flashing every couple seconds.

I have not seen the e-surance commercial, but that damn Rav4 commercial...every time I see it I think, "damn that is stupid". Just because it's a commercial for one of the largest auto makers doesn't mean it's a good commercial.

The e-surance commercials do more to prevent people from buying their insurance than from enticing them to purchase it. They portray themselves as cheap, cheasy, and kind of sleazy. Just like this SP ad. Oh and guess what, Esurance is all those things and more! So their commercials are very truthful. They suck and their commercials tell you that. Now aside from the Shocker and the Freak, SP puts out some products that are worth buying. However, this ad makes them look like a 12yo selling pvc pipe out of his garage.

All it proves is that the company is able to hire some kid to put together a pretty god-awful computer animation. Why buy their paintball products though? It does not say why.

I suppose that philosophy is soo far away from some big breasted hardly(if) legal hottie holding whoevers marker or gear.......? Or many other ads/products for that matter.

I am not saying its the best ad I have ever seen, but it was colorful, had action, and wasn't disentertaining. The SP logo was prevelant throughout the video, and anyone who plays or has seriously thought about paintball can recognise it easily.

Replace that logo with another and who would be "fanboi"..........(oh and Warbeak not meaning you specifically)

That's different lol, sex sells. This cartoon was just stupid and pointless. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't buy anything SP because of it. I was considering picking up an Ion at one point for a backup. It's not a bad gun. But now I'd definitely never do it. And if AGD put out a commercial like that... well here I come B/S/T threads.

The point isnt to be good but to be memorable. Which apparently, they are.
