AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I know it's a little off topic, but it is about old AO days. Does anyone know where I can buy a copy of the DVD made of AOSC-II (AKA AOSE-II)? I meant to purchase one way back then, but never got around to it. I've tried a couple of times since then without any luck.
That was a great AO meet. Things have really changed since then...
I'll look around. Might have a set or perhaps a VCR copy of it left over. Found a small box of leftover T Shirts the other day as well. Could be a DVD or VCR set in there too. Gimme a few days.
I however took a lot of that stuff down to Dalton GA the next year and Tom gave it all away. But I went on my bike so I could not pack it all so some is still here. Just a few T's that would not fit and maybe a copy or two of the video. I'll look. Don't let me forget. If I got one its yours.
I remember playing on Team I Ate All The Pies at SE AO II...it started out with myself, Personman, and someone else and by the end of the day I think we had six or so more players that had been in games, including Tom Kaye and Jon Comprado. I don't think anyone knew exactly who was on the team, but we took 3rd Place
Shooting Muzikman's Typhocker in a game with Tom Kaye and Personman (who was dressed as a pie) also comes to mind...
I still have an old MiniMag t-shirt that everyone signed by Clare, Tom, Muzikman, TAG, Simon, and other people who were there.
How about Tom and following pestering the poor girl up front about hooking up the game console in the lobby........
Are we talking about the same AO day? I remember being thrown out of the pool area into the lobby, and then "offered" a conference room because we were too loud. But I don't remember trying to hook up a game console. I did leave just after pizza showed up in the conf room (Tom does love pizza, doesn't he?)...

Apparently not. This was the Command to Conquer game at Regulator's Outpost in Dalton, GA. It happened to coincide with an AO(southeast?) game that met here. Tom played the role of a Mad Scientist?....anyway, we all stayed at the Marriot Courtyard and made a mess(of ourselves).
