AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
As an "outsider" to this issue....I have to say I do feel for you all. Its rather unfortunate that there has been delay after delay...and I know if I were in your situation I would be upset.
The thing that gets to me, even as one not involved in the situation is this....
I am an artist, I do freelance work. When I give my client a deadline, I am expected to meet it. Now of course this the real world, and often there are situations that arise that may change the deadline, or delay things. However....I would never offer a deadline, and push it back, and then push it back, and then push it back again, and again. If I did that...not only would I lose the client, I may never get another one.
I would find it hard to believe that weeks, if not months ago they were aware of serious delays. So why keep saying its almost there. Its better to just be upfront and say its going to be a long wait till its done. Would anyone be as mad now if months ago they just came out and said that? Wouldn't it have been better to know that then, rather then have a multiple "its almost ready" statements throw at you??
They offered a time line to you all and willingly took your money, anyones card not been charged yet, any checks not been cashed????
They delayed things...ok that is acceptable, that happens, setbacks are a part of any creative and custom process, its just a fact of life.....but the constant "its just around the corner" is at best very poor production management and communication at worse they were outright lies to you all.
Hey rabid, why don't you stop messing with other people's threads and go back to explaining why these are equally as late. Glass houses, throwing stones, et cetera.
I can understand the complaints from people who actually put money into this, but not the ones from the people who didn't.

Why not? People that continue to do business like this are bad for the industry (and seem to be so common these days). I dont have to be a disgruntled customer to be bothered when I see my friends getting the runaround.
Truth be told, the people that prepaid are subconsiously pissed at themselves for being duped. Tough lesson.
I called today and asked that they send me my friend as soon as it's done. I don't want to wait for the micro LPR and adapter rail to get my frame. I suggest everyone else do the same. I'm not sure it's automatic.
I didn't order a Micro LPR with mine because it limits my ASA options and I was worried about long-term maintenance. I'm putting a Palmers Micro Rock on the front of the foregrip instead.
They originally said March to April with these. It's May. I don't find a 1 or 2 month delay to be huge with something like this. Really, when you look at what they're making, big deal. Good things come to those who wait. If they suddenly said "October", then I'd be a big angry. But May? That's fine. I can deal.
Factor in, people, that this is basically custom work. If you ordered a brand new custom Typhoon from Palmers right now, you'd be expected to wait a good 2 months for it even though Palmers has the basic components all ready to go and has been making these things for years. And Palmers doesn't get nearly the volume of custom orders in the same amount of time that G-Force got for these gripframes. They don't have years of experience producing these things, so they're not fast at it, and they're not set up for mass production. Delays are to be expected. And it's better to have it done right and get it a little later than to get it a lot sooner and have it be an expensive slop job.
I ordered mine in February. There were 100 order slots. They didn't get filled so it got pushed back. I know it sucks to have to wait a long time, but consider this: any one of these people could have paid for someone else to make them a PneuMag. There's several competent people. For whatever reasons, they wanted a commercial product instead. That's fine. It wasn't ready when they ordered it, and they knew it. Do I think it sucks that you have to wait this long? Yes. Do I think that some companies might have handled it faster? Yes. But considering they sent fairly frequent emails keeping people up to date and actually are acting in good faith, I can forgive that. It's NOT like the company I ordered an "in stock" product from and 2 weeks later it still hadn't shipped. They're building these.
