I'd say that this is more than just a new body, it does have a rotating breech. That's more than just different looking milling.

Has there been a rotating breech 'Mag before that I missed?
Shaun Nelson --- old, fat, slow.... did I mention lazy? I ate all the pies
I disable .signatures Apparently you do not.

Theres barely been any guns with rotating breeches. I can only think of the JT tac-5, and an aftermarket breech for the original matrix. Both were accomplished in a different manner.

And both were limited to Left/Right/Center. Not to mention the relative rarity (and detent issues) of the Cobra Matrix breech and the discontinuation of the rotating-breech version of the Tac5. The Micromag 2009 is (or will be) truly unique, even when compared to other markers with vaguely similar (and then only in function) breech designs.

Bob Long had a sidefeed attachement of some sort on one of his early timmy's I remember seeing. Not sure it ever made production though.

Any new updates on our "vaporware" project?

Update: I'd trade my spot for a Prophecy or Rotor :

Tarantula made a rotating breach for the dm3 that can be positioned in 180 degrees, it does however prevent you from using eyes.

X-mag doesn't truely rotate as you replace the entire breech.

Xmag uses several different breeches that you had to install. The options were center, warp left and warp right.

Anybody else getting concerned? It seems like we're to close to the finish line to go 3 weeks without a post from Forrest, Russell or Tracy.

I think I'm going to call tomorrow and see if I can find something out, I sent an email a couple days ago but no response.

I am not concern, at least they are a very big company that does defense work. Stuff may get delay for one reason or another, but they won't go bankrup or just close shop on moment notice.

I still have quite a bit of work out with airsmith, so this is the least of my worry.

I'm not in a rush ( I posted in the original design thread ~2.5 years ago) its the fact that the last post was 3 weeks ago with russell talking about finishing the current prototype the next day or so.

Meh, we're just obviously unimportant second rate customers.

WarMachine Assualt 80's had a rotatable breech back in 2003. They were not that popular. http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/1403/
