          Zoom,....

Why isnt the front block milling to cover the battery the same cut height as the one that profiles the feed neck along the side of the body? Defiantly a simple change in the chamfer cut along the top front of the battery cover.

Its obviously not the same,... even at an angle,.. you can see they do not match.

You COULD loose that gap if you made the E-block wrap around the body the same distance back as the battery pack

I have to say, I haven't waited all this time for the "easy way out" of the the front block. I don't mind having a second piece but the emicro front block should be built for the emicros and not to look like you took a pneumatic block and put a wedge on the front. Please, more time to do it right.

Any chance that you could mill my battery pack to match, I sent in a standard Emag housing.

Also, what about getting a match annoed clamping feedneck? Could I arrange this with you or Tracy?

I am going to agree with you

it looks awful almost like it was an after thought and just thrown on there to get more buyers

                  To everyone at PTP -

I have been nothing but both supportive of this project and patient. Please do NOT let that micro E front out like that. We've waited this long, a little longer wont kill anyone.

I think the problem may be that the bodies themselves are all already done.
Thats a little under half that are EMicro.

Please dont let the Emicro fronts hold up the mech Micro bodies from shipping out.

I have to agree. I don't like it. It doesn't seem to match the rest of the body lines at all. Why not just continue all the lines forward to a rounded end to match the front of the battery pack and leave a U-shaped groove below the barrel similar to a 'cocker front block? The closest thing visually that I can imagine to this would be an E-Mag rail with an Exile body on it where the body looks shorter than the rail. I don't mind the small chamfer above the battery pack and it would look better if it was carried over to the front block instead of just ending it abruptly like that.

I agree about the gap, needs to go but the block not matching with the body is what it is from the looks of it. It'll make the front of the block look thin/danky and uneven if he cuts any more and you still have the barrel hole to worry about. If anything the sides of the body should have been cut smaller but we all know you can't uncut whats already been cut. It would have def gave us more real-estate to mill some cool **** onto thou

If you see the pics. Looks like he was trying to get the tops too match which came out great. The sides, it's what it is.

I like it. My only issue with the body was how the whole warp part of the project came out.

You can't satisfy everyone and I can live with the warp part of it.

EDIT: We all have our opinions and besides the gap which is hopefully fixable, it's a little late for a overhaul.

The dilemma with milling the front anymore

                          The sides look great IMO..

Now you guys understand why ive been beating my head on a wall trying to figure out how to
make the lines and designs match from micro to emicro .

The body is the same width as the battery pac top which limits what i can do .

I have a couple idea's on how to make the transition look cleaner .

Keep in mind that it will also blend better once everything is anodized. The raw front shows a big contrast against the dust black battery box top. Most of that goes away once it's all the same color. As far as trying to blend everything - the rotating breech has made it both a functional and styling nightmare. A lot of work in that department. Maybe we should have just done this round stainless tube with... - hey wait that's already been done...

EDIT - I missed a whole page of posts - Russell will get those lines blended. If you notice - these are "progress" photos and most are done around midnight as they come off a machine. A lot of the tweaking takes place after 7 or 8 P.M. when second shift is running and things settle down enough for Russell to come back in and really concentrate - that's after dealing with a full day of the usual shop and production issues. One number that was off by .050" on the front blocks cost a full week of re-design or this would have been done. Now the final styling is all that's really left - and that battery box has always been a hassle to work around...
