            Here is mine!

            A question Tracy, do you guys do custom milling? As you can see I have this ugly laser engraving on my battery housing, so I want to have that milled/sanded off. And I don't know if there is enough meat on the housing, but perhaps it would be possible to machine the corners of the battery housing to have the same angular look as the body, like machining the corners so that they are 45 degrees instead of rounded? Then I would like the rest of the lowers ULE'ed and anno'ed to match. I am checking with you guys as I live local to the shop and could just drop off the parts.

                That's not an option for some of us. I have three older valves...why invest in a 4th when it's not really needed?

                  To Install an Over Sized Valve:
                  -brace the body against something solid with a cloth or pad of some type in place to keep from damaging the finish

                  -using a rubber/soft faced/dead blow mallet/hammer pound the valve into the body, it's stainless steel it can take it and smile
                  **BE SURE TO GIDE THE VALVE IN CORRECTLY ALIGNED; YOU WONT BE ABLE TO TURN IT ONCE IT'S IN THERE.

                  To Remove an Over Sized or Stuck Valve:
                  -brace the lower tail end of the body against something solid using a cloth or pad to keep from damaging your finish
                  -using a wooden dowel close to but smaller that the diameter of your bolt eg. A 2B DRUM STICK insert the stick in to the body via the breach till your against the bolt face
                  -using a rubber/soft face/dead blow hammer/mallet pound the valve back out of the body;
                  it's stainless steel in solid contact with the body so it's more than strong enough to take it with zero damage. that's one of the good things about how OVER BUILT Tom Kaye made the AGD Valve assembly.
                  Even if you try, it's very tough to kill!
                  Sounds like what I want to do with my 2-years-of-waiting,-really-expensive body....

                  wow. Nice, PTP.

                      not their fault.
                      that is just the tolerances in machining.
                      from one batch of valves to the next even a day apart with the plans calling for a +/- 0.002 tolerance;
                      valve A and later valve B can be as much as .004 apart.
                      the bearings that the main shaft of a jet turbine has press fit are only 0.00001" bigger than the shaft.
                      the shaft needs to be chilled to -450F and the bearing heated to +800F to be installed.
                      and you only get one chance to fit the part; it could shatter or just change temperature enough that the parts wont fit.

                      my use of the "Mechanic's Theory" (get a bigger hammer, I make it fit!) was just the fastest way to solve the issue with out altering any parts.
                      I could have tried the thermal fit method, but it would have taken time and I don't know how the O rings in the valve would react to being heated to 800F.

                      teufelhunden I get the impression that you do not do things like repair your own vehicle or any kind of machinery.
                      because you would know that even when you have the correct part there are times that things just don't fit as they were intended.

                        Thanks. I needed that. I will use that tomorrow in our senior design class. I cant wait to see what the client says.

                          Actually, wouldn't you heat the body and chill the valve?

                              No, he just likes to dig at me every chance he gets. Doesn't matter how much positive we have seen, he likes to find any negative and run with it.

                                Wasn't trying to be a D-bag, just anal about scratching a brand new body I guess. Good luck with it.
