Originally posted by ZoomZ@PTPThis is the first ive hear of this issue b/c i havnt checked this thread in forever so Im going to step in here and handle this for you guys .
The material is certified as T6-7075 and the problem is from the rotation of the spring from what ive read here .
I didnt think there was going to be as much rotation as there is with some of the springs .
Some guns are not affected by this and i think its the difference in the springs .
ANYONE having a problem with this issue , ship your gun body to me personaly and i will fix it for free and pay to ship it back to you with a pressed in Stainless Steel insert .
Make sure your name and address is clearly marked on the box please.
Alooney , pm me please .

Russell, can I just get the part sent to me without sending in my body? I have a raw body that is not ready for the repair. ThanksLast edited by luke; 11-20-2011, 09:54 AM.Comment

As I live in Brazil, I also would preffer having the part sent to me instead of shipping the full body over. Is it possible?
Thanks.Comment

I created a new thread in the dealer section for the washer insert repair. I didn't get anyones permission, but I thought it would be good to have a clean thread. Less likely for things to get lost.
We can't get our time back, but if the washer works it should recover our investment. I plan to be 100% supportive now that we have communication with PTP again.
Thanks AO for pushing forward to find a solution!Comment

Hey guys - I just spoke to Tracy. She knows that she is taking a beating over here and has pretty much given up trying to take care of things out of her control. Don't expect her to reply to this thread or to PMs she is pretty much burnt out on all of it.
She wanted me to post that if there are problems or questions to send them to [email protected] and someone will try to help. She is up Russel and Forest's asses about all of it and will get them to deal with it.
Also - dont shoot the messenger

hammer the valve out? no hammer required.Originally posted by WUNDERWAFFEN^Looks great but how do you hammer the valve out?
the only thing actually holding the 09MM in the stock is one Stainless Steel machine screw that goes through the bottom plate and into the forward grip frame mount hole.
this snugs the body into the adjusted inletting (Ruger 10/22) other than 1/4" at the front of the body and the last 1/4" of the valve/regulator the whole gun body/barrel are more or less free floating, as they don't come in contact with anything.
So loosen off this one screw and the body just lifts out of the stock, loosen off the valve screw and the valve just slides out the back smooth and slick.
I have only had one valve that needed "tapped" into ONE out of THREE 09MM bodies I bought with a dead blow mallet. and that only needed done once and then it slid in and out like a teen ager on prom night.
as for the stock it's an "Evolution SS" from Boyd's and I have one more in hand.
not sure yet If I'm going to build something in it or just dell it and continue on my 100% ground up hand carved stocks.
if your interested pm me with an offer... couldn't hurt lol!Comment
