I've been looking at the front block- it does seem a wee bit off but I've let it slide as I've got a non-anno'd body and haven't tried it- I might take a closer look tonight. I'm using a stock detent off my gen-x3 cocker right now, it fits perfectly with no issues, but tollerances are tight, it wouldn't surprise me if there were issues with the fit for similar detents. I've aslo talked to Tracy, she's said shirts are coming.Originally posted by lukeJust got my package about ten minutes ago, got a few questions.
Anyone besides me see a misalignment on the rail and front block?
The first two screws on either side will start but the 3rd and 4th are a no go. Looks like the 4 through holes need to be drilled larger to compensate.
Dentets don't thread in, they are either the wrong thread or the heads need ground to fit recess. I haven't checked the threads with a thread guage so I'm not sure what the exact problem is.
I thought tee shirts were included for those that paid in full at the time it was offered?Comment

Don't try and tread it in with a wrench, it's off just enough to ruin your day.Originally posted by DrixI've been looking at the front block- it does seem a wee bit off but I've let it slide as I've got a non-anno'd body and haven't tried it- I might take a closer look tonight.
I was only using my fingers and a torx tip. If you start 2 screws down either side then eyeball the other two you'll see the problem. You can kind of see it without putting the screws in but it dosent look as bad as it really is.Comment

Not griping, just inquiring..
It is definitely a very very tight fit for the 4 screws. It really shouldn't be put together until it is anodized (I did put a note saying that). Not sure why your detents are not fitting. When they came in I hand screwed in 2 detents and they worked without being tightened down
T-shirts are coming had a delay with the graphic artist who does a lot of Nascar stuff.
Luke let me know if you are still having problemsComment

I will get Russell to get on here since he is the machinist!! We will be assembling everyone elses body, We just didn't want to mess with the raw parts!!Comment

Yes they were sent to me in bulk. And I swear I hand threaded them in just to make sure they would work and dropped a ball in. I did not tightened them down.I really didn't want to mess with the raw bodies. I did talk to Russell earlier and he said he would get on to answer questions.Comment

Ok I took a closer look- One of my screw holes doesn't quite align, but it's the hole on the rear right if you're looking at the gun upside down with the valve towards you. I don't have my pic handy but I'm wondering if what we are seeing isn't a machineing goof but rather the inconsistancies in the o-ring. This might be unforseen uncharted territory.Originally posted by zondo

So you started 3 screws?Originally posted by DrixOk I took a closer look- One of my screw holes doesn't quite align, but it's the hole on the rear right if you're looking at the gun upside down with the valve towards you. I didn't attempt assembly with the o ring installed.Comment

The tolerences are tight on these bodies so assemble the body without the oring first .
The oring isnt needed unless there is wiggle in the breach when the gun is assembled .
I highly dought there will be any wiggle of the breach in any of these bodies but it was designed in just in case .
Try putting the front block on the gun with out the breach in place if your having a threading issue . Screw each screw in a turn or two before tighting all the screws .
If one screw doesnt go in , take all the screws out and put that one screw in first , then the other 3 .
I assembled several of these guns before they went out for polishing/ano and i noticed they were nice and tight but they went together clean .
I will make sure that all of the other bodies will go out to you guys assembled . (Sembly Party ! ! )
The chrome plating on the detents did make for a tight fit and they screw in a turn or so and get tight . I used a 7/16 socket and tightened it the rest of the way in .
I will check each breach when they come back from ano and chase the threads if needed . ie: chrome+ano=tight.
Luke , if your still having issues tomorrow , call me at the shop .Comment
