I think they might just be waiting on the gloss black breachs to come back from re-anno and then they can ship out the orders with both black and grey bodies, otherwise if you are just waiting for gloss grey it will most likely be sent out sometime this week.

I received my parts the other day, and did some preliminary assembly. However, I ran into a strange issue. While attempting to screw in the front frame screw, it came to a dead stop with about an eighth of an inch to go. Initially, I thought it was a threading issue. Unfortunately, I found that the screw stopped because it bottomed out against the breech. So, now I have a small gouge on the bottom of the breech, and a screw that is too long. As such, I must ask, is there something I missed? I had used this same screw, without problem, on a railed build. Have the screws gotten shorter over the years?

Also, for those with polished parts, has anyone else noticed some blemishes in the anno? I am not concerned with it at this point, but mine came with a couple of light scuffs. Also, there were a couple of crevices near threading where what appears to be polishing compound had built up. As such, the anno didn't take in those spots. You can't really notice it when assembled, but I am still curious.

The idea is to get as much thread engagement as possible and it was designed for a 1/2" (.500) length screw. Since we needed a little extra room for the detent in the 3 and 9 o'clock positions there is a channel milled in the body in that area. If the screw is actually .500" that is a good thing. If it runs on the short side I would personally go with a 5/8" and grind it down until it is flush. This is not a design issue, but simply a fact of life with hardware...
Micromags use a shorter screw apparently.
