BS!!!!Originally posted by TazAndo do a little leg work and you will find out that the answer is no. and remember you do the inner diameter a little off and you screw up your bolt and breech......
I know for a fact there's 1" OD washers out there and all you guys would have to do is get a proper size drill and drill out the inner diameter.
All it would cost you is .50 cents for a washer and either go the drill bit rought which would come out nicer or dremal the damn thingComment

Wheres this link your looking at???Originally posted by AndoBS!!!!

Both THB and Fastenal said they dont have anything 1" OD, .875 and 1.125 are what they had, and you would still have to buy a $15 bit and hope you don't mangle the washer when you cut the ID....
So lets play math for a moment 15 for bit, .50 times 5 washer (plated not SS at that), shipping for washers 6 (if they exist? not going to get at lowes, home depot, thb, fastenal), shipping for bit 6 (may find locally may have to have brought in=shipping)
so 30.50. And you still have to make it work time is money to me. All to avoid a custom, clean $25 fix for 40 some od SS washers. Tell me the logic here??? And all this assuming this 1" OD washer is out there, I have honestly not found it.Comment

PTP sold something like 175 bodies. You can count on not everyone getting washers. With that said I want one that works properly the first time, we have 2 designs and wotnot, should we do some proper testing so we don't end up in the same boat?Originally posted by TimmyJayWhy are we only looking at the 500 quantity? Did PTP sell more than 200 bodies? I would be in on the bulk purchase, but supply would be too high for the headache of trying to resell 40 of them.Comment

I don't think looney wants to get stuck with 45 or looking forward to resell. I know I don't, but if it gets it done and the right washer to me.
Ando, you happen to know where we can pick up that washer? And can you only buy one, some places have you buy several.Comment

Its not about reselling them, its just about raising the $ to get them made. I have no plans of trying to resell my 45 washers to make profit, I just would like to get these things made. You get 45 washers for $25 because thats how the math (500 / 11 people) works out, not cause your ever gonna need 45.
I would also like to spend $5 and get 3 or 4 washers if that was possible. However, I think its worth $25 bucks to have a solution to this problem, cause I have a $400 paper weight otherwise. Just realize that if everyone goes in together (like 5 people each throwing in $5) this prolly isnt going to happen, cause at $5 we need about 50 people to front money.
Minimum order is 100 washers at 2.08, figure shipping and everything we're looking at $220. So I though screw it lets just get 500 made and have no worries there will always be some floating around in someones toolbox.
Ando, if you want to make some washers up for us i'll buy one!

With 175 2k9 mags we shouldn't need more than 300, I'd be in for dropping 20 bucks on a stack, but I really think we should at least test one to make sure they work properly.Originally posted by alooney11Minimum order is 100 washers at 2.08, figure shipping and everything we're looking at $220. spring seat replacement
i think the flat washer repair is like putting a bandage on a broken leg. if you look at the way the marker is designed all the pressure is on a very thin surface. on an AGD body you have a very thick ledge to spread out the pounding. on the MM with a steel washer there is only a thin surface and that butts up to a movable breech block. when the seat mushroomed it was worn even thinner ,if it is gone too far it will fracture and break falling into the breech.in that event all the pounding is on the breech block ,that is held in place by the barrel section with 4 screws. so you are going from a very thin possibly fractured boss onto a move able breech and then onto a fixed front section . if repairable the cup washer installed with LOCKTITE STUD AND BEARING MOUNT and pressed in place with a dowel is the only way to get any type of permanent repair. if at any time the front block becomes loose all of the structural integrity of the spring seat goes to hellComment

Ptp 2009 Mm Boat Anchor
Why is it every day you see more and more 2009 mm bodies up for sale? Could it be more and more owners are finding out they spent 220 + dollars for a marker that is little more than a door stop.Just where is the PTP of the past that would correct a problem if you had one.Why hasn't TRACY or FORREST posted of a fix to this dilemma that we are seeing more of every day . There are posts of owners willing to saw these into 2 pieces and send it back to PTP .Once again it is the ingenuity of the members of AQ to rite the wrongs of poor quality and design. With all the new technology and machining processes markers should be getting better not worse. A good place to display the 2009PTP MM is above the toilet for inspiration

Idea on washers. No clue if it'll work, but it appears to be a cheap way to try:
.032 shim washer
.020 Shim washer
Both with 1" OD, 3/4" ID, +-.002.
May need to get a stack of em, and grind just a hair off of the OD to get them to fit, I dunno.
Also available in .062 thickness.
Just saying, Simple is out there. Will simple work? who knows.

Jeez...I get my body and think everything is awesome, come back here randomly to see if my tshirt might have shipped to my old address, and find 20 pages of fail.
I have not fired my marker yet, sounds like I will want to hold off on that until the washer thing gets sorted out. There should be standard 1"OD stainless washers in many sizes available. Titanium is probably a bad idea due to potential galvanic corrosion in addition to cost.Comment
