Pre Order For Logic UMF Frames

Well I have no problem waiting a bit longer to get the paid preorders in.Originally posted by matteuszGuys we are close on the number of pre orders needed to make this a go. I have pm'd all the people on the list of shame and gotten about 10 responses with people dropping out. That leaves plenty of maybe's on the list (29 names and roughly 18 of them not responding). I want to mail in the deposit and get this going Monday but I won't be able to if we don't have enough deposits paid. Any suggestions?
I understand wanting to get the ball rolling but I would rather have it take a week or so longer than not happen at all.Comment

I do not want the frame, due to the reasons I posted earlier.
However, if it comes down to it and you need one more purchaser for the order to go through, I will buy the frame and either sell my spot in line or sell the frame once it is finished.
Just PM me if that is the case and you need one more buyer on Monday the 18th. I'm going to kill my subscription to this thread.Andrew Borntreger

I wouldn't want to have someone buy the frame just to resell it. Thanks fo the update there badmovies. Bit confusing though if he knew about that when he signed up then why sign up?
I will cancel the order before I allow desperation to make this a bad deal for those "just keeping their word." This is not a desperate venture. If it goes through it should go through because it is a good idea. Great frame, price . . .
If it fails it will be because there is not a real demand for the thing. In that case we should see the price drop not go up. Rare does not equal quality.Comment

I did not find out about the trigger issue until a few days after signing up. Again, I think that the post that identified the trigger issue was deleted and the Logic website did not state that the frame could only use the trigger that came with it (I had done some reading up on the frame before signing on - nothing I had read detailed the trigger).Originally posted by matteuszI wouldn't want to have someone buy the frame just to resell it. Also, that ugly flamewar was only a week ago.
Something I've seen in the past is that people miss out on the limited runs or preorder only deals, because they do not stop around here for a few months or so. I do not doubt that I would be able to sell the frame later for the same price as I will pay for it (which would be my intent). Life is not always about "me" - sometimes you do things that are for the community. If the order comes down to it and you need one more frame paid for, I am good with that and it is no hardship.Andrew Borntreger

Badmovies.org you are a class act. The order will not come down to a single frame for a yes or a no. I am just glad you are not getting something you don't want and that those of us that do want one have a chance to get in on this. Meanwhile there are other options.
Heck the intelliframe is underated. I think the only reason no one raves about it is because it is so common on mags. Funny thing is that is why we have things like the logic frame and other great aftermarket parts. The bar is set so high the aftermarket guys really have to try to make things any more functional.Comment

Coolhand/Mattesuz, can I get the inside dimensions of the frame. I have a board, a 9volt, noid, and MSV2 I'd like to install. I may need to oreder another frame if the demnsions are right...ThanksComment

You have an open area inside the grip frame:
1.29" W x 2.85" L x 0.50" D (to the intellifeed bar)
If you remove the intellifeed bar, you can gain another 0.23" in Depth for a total size of:
1.29" W x 2.85" L x 0.73" D
There is slightly more length available to the front and rear of the bumps that hold the screw holes for the grip panels that narrow things like capacitors and LED's could project into.
On the whole, it's pretty much the same size inside as an intelliframe. There is meat that can be removed to make a little more room too, if you have the tools (and the inclination) to do it with.Ryan Shanks

I used my first frame for an EP conversion.Originally posted by flyingpootangCoolhand/Mattesuz, can I get the inside dimensions of the frame. I have a board, a 9volt, noid, and MSV2 I'd like to install. I may need to oreder another frame if the demnsions are right...Thanks
I had to remove alot of material to make it all fit.
The nice thing is there is much more potential room in there than in an Inteli.
I used a Chaos board and a Mac noid. The SMC noid I used first required much less milling to fit, but didnt last very long.

It is a go guys. The deposit payment will go out Tuesday morning. Anyone that still wants in has until tomorrow night to make a deposit. After that I will not accept any additional deposits. Thanks for all getting together on this. Now it is just a matter of patiently waiting . . I hate waiting.Comment

Jimbud, Thanks for the great info your mod looks awsome. The bad part is I might have to order another frame. Where did you get the MAC noid from and what wattage did you get? 1.8, 2.0, or 3.0 watts?....ThanksOriginally posted by JimbudI used my first frame for an EP conversion.
