Replacing the on/off valve with an electro mechanical solenoid?

        Just read this thread ... I don't get out much..

        First, no pneumatic solenoid that will fit will hold 350-450 psi. or 1000 in an X-valve.
        Second the sear must hold back the bolt with chamber pressure pushing on it.


        Ok my thoughts .... make the on off assembly a ram (pneumatic cylinder) or just use air on the bottom side of the pin to push it up.

        the sear could become a pin on a cylinder the pulls out of the way when the ram closes the air flow and then release the bolt.

        need to think about it more but just a start ..and it would work on X-valves too
