Does your hobbyist nature extend to Automobiles? Post up your vehicle/projects!

Almost everyone on this forum is probably some sort or Hobbyist or Tinkerer at heart.....my "disease" as my wife likes to call it extends to many things, including cars. Why not a thread to share right?

Heres my baby, 2004 Pontiac GTO

Took her to the Dyno a few weeks ago to check my tune and it made 328rwhp and 341rwtq

Few pics from a Mid-Missouri meet we had a couple of weeks ago

    Lets see your projects!

      And done:

Not a bad little city beater, and I've got basically nothing into her after the insurance buy back

I spent a number of years doing a full body off restoration and finished it 5 years ago.
It's an original 428 car though the engine's been bored .030" over 10.5-1 compression, fully balanced, .533" lift cam Weiand 180* intake, 3000 stall torque converter and Trans Go 2 shift kit.
Currently I'm picking away at a 71 Torino GT, 351 4 speed car.

Here's one of my money pits...

95 F-250 powerstroke. 4" lift, 36" hummer tires on recentered hummer beadlock rims. Used to be an auto, swapped it for a 5 speed. South Bend ConFE clutch. Open element air filter, BD downpipe to a 4" straight pipe. Bullydog Chip. Stage one injectors, bedlinered floorboard. And a bunch of other crud I forget. Lol.

Just built some shock towers for it and put dual front shocks on it a few weeks ago, extended the front brake lines, and put another leaf in the front leaf packs cause she was sagging a bit... Just need to rework the rear suspension some, build a custom front and rear bumper, and get a tony wildman chip for it and I think maybe I'll be done!

                  Another one... 1993 F-350 4x4.

I have the interior all together again on this one and need to swap out the engine and transmission with another engine and tranny I have sitting around. Then a bit of sanding and a shot of primer and some Krylon italian olive spray paint. Need to build a flatbed for it too and I'm thinking I'm gonna put a full size roof rack with lights on top and throw a spare tire, highlift jack, and some other necessities up there and kinda make a short trip expedition vehicle out of it.

Started working on this one again here in the past couple months too (crazy how much time I have on my hands now that I'm divorced! Damn women!)

I'll have to get some new pics of it. Anyways it's an 85 F-250 4x4 with the 6.9L diesel. In the past couple months I've gotten a couple new batteries for it, put new glow-plugs in it, fixed the inside door handles, done a complete brake job (they were BAAAAAD). Put different rims and tires on it, and just tonight I did some work on the flatbed to make some pockets for the fuel filler necks in the side of the bed. It's coming along pretty well actually!

Oh and I have about 20 others project vehicles, but they're mainly on the back-burner for now so i won't bore you with them.

The grasshopper is more or less my money pit. I finally got it running right a few weeks ago. I've got 2500$ into it which is still a deal!

When I was younger I thought too many hobbies meant you couldn't do any of them very successful....I didn't listen too myself

Here's the begining of my next project....

please Mr O.P if you are going to own and drive a Monaro please at least call it what it is

Those Cars ARE NOT PONTIACs, Just becuase its badged that way dont make it so....

                              They are Australian Holden Monaro's.

The Monaro is an icon in australian muscle cars, please show the respect they deserve.
but considerig you own it i would assume you know that.
