mine is a '91, lots of michigan rust, 251k on the clock, i paid $450 for it.
the D35's axle tubes are tweaked. so i bought a 8.8 ford with 3.73 and a trak-lock for $160 today.
going to install it next week probably.

Great axle for that platform. From an explorer? Disks? Does your front end have 3.55's?
KC will be bouncing around in an XJ with built 44/60 combo underneath here soon.

1992 Camaro RS 305 TBI
Bought this thing when I was 17, for the whopping price of $300.

Trans was shot. Interior was shot. Had no idea if the engine worked(didn't even come with a set of keys) Was in a minor front end accident. Brakes were gone. Tires were bald. Everything that could have worked, didn't.

Fixed everything up, used it my daily driver for a few years.

Once I got a truck, it become my project car.
Currently done: Global west Del-a-lum control arm bushing
Spohn steering brace
Spohn steering linkage
Cleaned, re-seemed and painted wheel wells.
Picked up a 350 short block, that's awaiting a rebuild.
Next summer's main focus: New Floors

Its pretty bad.
It going to take a long time to finish, especially with what I'm aiming for. Being a full time college student (I.E. broke) doesn't help.Born to be hated

my front does have 3.55's
my 8.8 is from an explorer, it was a cash for clunkers vehicle at a u-pull it yard. 113k miles on it. like new rotors and pads on it.
a 44/60 combo huh?
i'd really like to do a desert racer think with my xj, except my body is toast and there is no desert around here, just a bunch of woods, mud, and hills. we do have sand dunes though.
this is what i'm aiming for.

Everybodies off road pics seem alot like how my employee's treat my trucks LOL! There not really that bad just sometimes I wonder how they framed the recent purchase over a blouder. But anyways this the truck I purchased back in August after someone stole my other F350 Flatbed. Saw it on the news before I knew it was gone.
89 F350 2wd
351 Windsor
Right now has a 2yd Ice Breaker Vbox and a 8ft western on it. Need to come up with something for more ballast for it.
I have new doors and a hood from a F250 to bolt on but waiting till after winter so it can go into paint. Got her for the right price of $750 is showing 58K on her but thinking 158K. Personally it might sound like I'm taking a back step with buying trucks but to step up a new F350 flat bed that I could use is going to run me around $53K. Plus buying something like that and putting on a few pallets of block or 2 yd's of stone just to beat it up like that doesn't justify the cost.Last edited by Swampy; 12-26-2009, 08:05 AM.This space for rent.Comment
