Maybe for the US, maybe for Israel but it's also possible that he operated in some sort of quasi disconnected space. Not being affiliated with any government in which those governments turned a blind eye towards but also collected evidence for. Epstein had plenty of powerful connections and somehow not a single person besides Ghislaine Maxwell has been imprisoned?
Having a bunch of powerful people caught on video doing unethical things is pretty damning and allows you to manipulate them as you see fit. Epstein wasn't a moron, and it's very likely that he collected all sorts of documentation (video footage / audio) to black mail people.
Somehow he gets busted for sex crimes and only serves a community service sentence?

Trump has flipped and flopped all over the place in regards to Epstein. Trump wants the thing to magically go away, I wonder why. Somehow the attorney who gave Epstein the sweetheart plea deal winds up as Trump's labor secretary? He only resigned when the whole thing became public.
"Epstein allegedly developed a scheme to identify and exploit "dozens" of vulnerable girls and young women, some as young as 14 years old, beginning around 1994 and continuing at least until 2004."
Just so happens to be a good portion of the time DJT and Epstein were friends.
Isn't it odd that Ghislaine Maxwell hasn't been offered a plea deal to put a lot of other people away?

For argument's sake we can consider that video hearsay and it really shouldn't sway anyone either way. I think the New Yorker magazine article from 2002 is more damaging than an after the fact interview. That was way before anyone knew who Epstein was and way before Trump entered the political arena. It's as close of a true look into how those two interacted. Let's also say that Donald didn't commit any sexual crimes but the mere mention of "Epstein likes younger women" is proof that Donald knew something was up and didn't care. At a minimum Trump likely knew Epstein was a pedophile and didn't care because it served Trump's interest of getting what he wanted. Not sure why or how anyone wants to defend someone who is knowingly friends with a pedophile.

Trump is notorious for being petty and once their feud started Donald was going to throw whatever he could at Epstein.

Well he fell quite short of his 2 trillion dollars savings didn't he (anyone with a brain knew that wasn't possible without serious cuts)? And all that fraud that existed that no one has been prosecuted for. Does waste exist in the government? Sure. Does rampant fraud exist like he claimed? No.

You're specifically talking about a politician which DOES NOT constitute most of the employees in the federal work force. DOGE was a colossal failure, it only met 5% of their goals.
