Serious Disturbances
I don't know, I've seen all that and can't say it was that big a deal.
The first movie that really freaked me out was "The Trial of Billy Jack" during the scene when the national guard are shooting students. At the time it was the most realistic gunshot effects I'd seen, and it just about made me sick. I watched it again years later and it didn't have anywhere near the impact.
"Blue Velvet" by David Lynch has a scene where Dennis Hopper and friends takes Kyle McClachlin (sp?) for a joy ride, and then beat him up. For what you would think is a low level of violence, it was truely disturbing. Many other disturbing moments in that movie (eg. "Momie! Momie! Don't you look at me!" <smack>).
"Eraser Head" by David Lynch pretty much takes the cake though. That was weird beyond measure and extremely disturbing. If you watched that and it didn't give you a cold chill there is definitely something WRONG with you!
Someone mentioned "Resevoir Dogs." The scene where the one guy cuts the other guy's ear off was pretty cold.
I think in most of these cases the most disturbing stuff is that which is the most real - and thus more mundane in some sense. The exception is Eraser Head, which is anything but real, but so so so out there you can't help but freak on it.

none have really scarred me, but two of the most...vivid..films that i have seen in a whlie are "cannibal holocaust" (70s gore flick) and "sick" (starring bob flanigan, super masochist, the guy from the NIN "happiness in slavery" video) - all three got investigated by the FBI because many refused to believe that they didn't contain snuff footage.
for one reason or another, i tend to be a magnet for all things wretched in film and on the web.

Also, I once received a copy of the G.G. Allin video/documentary "Hated." I took it over to a friends house, and told him it was some great movie of some sort or another. I then started it half-way in. Needless to say, he was truly disturbed.
I am still waiting for him to get me back for that one."My Jell-O is dying in the audience..."

I'd agree with this one. I saw Alien in the theater when I was 7 (my cousins and I snuck in after paying to see something G-rated.) I think it scarred me for life!Originally posted by Rocp15126
2) Alien - That damn "hand" looking alien which attaches itself to someone. The guy then dies later giving "birth" to a new alien. Visions of it sneaking up on me at night!

Most recently, the movie that disturbed me the most was Dude, where's my car? It disturbs me that films like this are made...

Yeah Pokemon The movie was very disturbing to me, made me have Epileptic Seizure after.
Actually Faces of Death Movies hands down, I thought it was going to be an awesome movie set, but then I didn't realize all the people were really dieing until it all clicked at the end and I started to get Dry heaves.
Another movie that was pretty screwed up was 7. That Movie was so Weird, it was a little disturbing, but more weird.95 S-10
