Stanley Cup Playoffs 2002

I will admit that Chelios is one of the most dirtiest players around. Now he is a darn good d-man. Gets the job done when need be. After watching Carolina whoop on Montreal I'm reconsidering the East. Carolina has a well put together team. I still think SJ will win in Colorado on wednesday. Now I'll agree on how the wings have blown it in the past. This year I have a feeling they'll pull it off. I still think the East will be a big competitor for the cup in the next couple finals. I mean for example the Islanders made a complete 360 from previous years and actually made it to the playoffs. I think they could do the same next year. I for one feel that if Peca didn't get hurt they would still be in it. Same with Allison, Deadmarsh and the Kings. Without Allison & Deadmarsh in game 7 against colorado, the kings were missing 2 top powerplay forwards. Which hurt them. Oh well. I'm looking forward to SJ vs Col on wednesday. Til then I'm out.

Yeah that carolina game was impressive.

Yep, I think we agree on chelios. He's on of the best blueliners out there, but just plays dirty. I really hope he doesn't get the norris. My vote goes for lidstrom then blake.

Of course I'd love to see my avs pull off the repeat. But whoever comes out of the SJ/Col series is going to be hard pressed. It's been a really physical series that went seven games, now they have to face a rested detroit. I think if the SJ/Col winner can split the first two games they'll win the western conferance. Especially if they play the games they're playing now (physical, hard hitting, tight checking, hockey).

I really have doubts on detroit's ability to play tough. But on they're behalf, the majority of players on that team know that this is probably the best and maybe last chance they'll ever have at a cup. With all those hall of fame veterans it's tough to think they'll let it slip away.

Seriously you think that toronto or Carolina has a good shot against a decently healthy Detroit or Colorado? Don't know about that.

Pretty gutsy performance by cujo though! Toronto takes a 1-0 lead in the series!

Actually the rumors are that they're going to tear down "The Joe" and build a new arena not just do renovations. If they do that, I'll never go to another wings game again. I was P-O'ed when they moved the tigers to the new stadium, but to move the wings closer to Illitch town.. oops I mean Fox Town area of detroit would just be wrong. But hey if they're willing to put in more seats then maybe it'll be worth it.

And as for your little "bandwagon" comment kiss my pasty white postal butt (just be sure to hold the tounge). The wings are just a better over all team than Colorado.
