which games have you actually seen him play? there are times where he looks absolutely amazing, and other times where he makes some dumb mistakes and lets in some weak goals. It happens. He'll get better.

A lot of players left their teams high and dry to play in the olympics.
Name them. I'd really like to see the list of players who chose to sit out regular season games to rest up for the olympics. I can't think of any. Then on the other hand you have Steve Yzerman playing on 1 leg throughout the playoffs to help his team win.

Rangers vs Thrashers, and there was one more I don't remember who it was against but I wasn't all that impressed. There were some saves here and there that was good but I still see nothing Roy like in him. Mario sat out before the olympics cause his back was spasming on him. He's had that trouble since 94ish if not before. Oh well though. He is still a damn good player and I respect him even more then I did/do Gretzky.

Blackburn seems to me more like Grant Furh then Roy.

Yeah, even though he scored against us last night, it's great to see him playing and doing well. 3 goals in 4 games since he got back.

Anyway, my rangers are up the creek without a paddle. Bure, knee surgery. Messier, back spasms. Leetch, severely bruised ankle. Richter, post-concussion syndrome. LeFabvre, broken finger.

Missing our captain, our best winger, our best d-man, and our goalie. *sigh*

Yeah that's what, a shade under $30 mil in salaries riding the IR? Rangers need to accept that richter's probably gone for the year and either tap blackburn as the starter or find a better goalie in a trade quick fast and in a hurry!

They aren't going to find a goalie to replace Blackburn at this point, I don't think. Not without giving up talent we can't afford to use. Blackburn might not be rock-solid yet, but he is a good goaltender. What we need is a solid backup. Neither of our current backups are NHL quality. They are solid AHL goalies, but that doesn't do much for us.

Yeah, I really don't expect them too, but they need to get someone in there fast. Like a Mike Vernon would be good, or chris osgood. Somebody whose been around, been shell shocked, won a ring, etc. Been through everything. Cripes blackburn's what, 19? Give him someone with experiance to trade off with, someone that can give him perspective, etc.

Well now the Rangers have another goalie in Dunham. Not a top notch goalie but he has his moments. I'm glad to see the LA "A" line (deadmarsh, Allison & Pallfy) are finally clicking. 1 goal and 2 assists for each the other night against Dallas. Oh and Storr definatly robbed Modano on that break away. That was sweet.

I have a feeling the Rangers are going to regret losing Kloucek. The guy hits like a ton of bricks.

Yeah, but it's better to have a veteran (and good) goalie available to teach blackburn. And keep him from being shellshocked out of the NHL.

I'm still wishing the kings would stay healthy. They need to get Allison & Deadmarsh off the IR and then they'd be set. With the additions of Roman C, Lucky Luc, Straka, and a few young talented players (Sim, Brown, Avery) this team should be winning more then they are. Unfortunatly they can't stay healthy enough to click.

Also anyone notice that J.S Giguerre has been pretty much replaced by Martin Gerber. Giguerre may have just signed a big contract but everyone's found his weakness and that is go high.

Yeah, the kings are gonna be dangerous when they get healthy. They've lost what, 150 man games in injuries now? Something like that? I think it's them and the avs that have the most games lost to injury right now.

Yeah, heheheh unless he somehow regains the form he had, the gig is up. hehehehehe Gerb's playing well though.

Did you watch the avs, canucks game? Abby played great, but the new guy from the ahl, auld did pretty freakin awesome.

K this thread had disappeared but I thought I'd revive it before the all star break. Who will win the cup? I feel the West has a huge chance of bringing it home. Either with the Wings, Av's or maybe even L.A if they'd get their heads straight and stay healthy. Biggest flops this year so far goes to Giggy & Chechmanek. The two SoCal teams are struggling in the net but are still manage to win, well the Kings are anyway.
