Nah, im jk. I like Slipknot, Korn, Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, SOAD, Static X, Mindless Self indulgence, Rammstein, and Mushroom head, all great stuff, I also enjoy the occasional punk like Green Day, AFI, and even some of the OLD blink 182 stuff I'm not much into the death metal stuff, mabe a little manson but that dosen't count.

BTW: I hate when people call other people posers because they say they listen to bands that are main stream, I listen to what I like, and if its main stream or pop, then well I like mainsteam and pop...

ya know at my school people will ask what i listen too and ill just be likem heavy stuff and they will be like what linkin park or papa roach and wen i tell them the bands i listen too the think i am like a devil worshiper

Metallica started to suck with the Black Album (Which was OK, but nowhere near as good as their earlier stuff).

I'm into Disturbed, Ocean Machine, Strapping Young Lad, old Metallica, Pantera, Slayer (God Hates Us All is the best stuff they've done since Reign in Blood), Soilwork and Slipknot are decent too, Meshuggah is cool, but a bit heavy for my tastes, Nightwish and Apocalyptica rock as well, but are different, as only the Finn's can be.

I also like newer SOAD, Static-X, Sevendust,PM5K, Tool, White Zombie (Not Rob's solo stuff) and old Korn, but that's all a bit light to be called metal.

As to Punk, I like it, but most of the stuff they call punk today isn't. Rancid and the Dropkick Murphy's are the only two Neo-Punk bands I can stand.

Listen to 'Just So You Know,' by them. Great song.

Anyways... the rock station here in the Twin Cities has said that Metallica is back in the studio with a new album to be released around Christmas time.

It's supposed to sound like the good old school Metallica. Yahoo for music that doesn't sound like garbage.

Oh man, suicide music....Lots of good ones out there, lets see. American Nightmare, Converge, Poison The Well....but then again those are just the emotional ones...besides that are all those crazy real goth bands like Voltaire and Glampire or Lost in Tears (very cool band, deffinatly check them out all you metal heads). So many good bands out there, music is soo wonderful.

o and down and pantera's songs are both written by phil. that would explain down's suicidal tendencies.

Anyone know any good goth bands that aren't like totaly, like "OH SATAN TAKE ME TO HELL< YA!!!!" and stuff, because I want to hear some but I'd rather not be getting yelled at by my rents about being a devil worshiper. Like even manson is kinda bad because he talks to much about religion. And I hear Dark Lotus is messed up like u call apoun demons by listening to them, so I told my mom and she freaked out and told my dad I'm listening to devil music and stuff, but usualy she is alright about the music I listen too, and she even enjoys Korn, and SOAD.

I didn't read any of the other posts except the first one. I like metal. Pretty much any kind of metal. Currently, I've been listening to a lot of Six Feet Under. I'm a huge fan of Hatebreed. I've been listining to cannibal corpse lately too. I go to a lot of shows, and I hear a ton of cool bands but I never remember their names. My speakers are lousy too, so to really hear the band I have to see them in a show.

Also some "Stoner/Doom Metal" like Lost in Tears and Darkwell all the way to goth nu metal like lollipop lust kill. Anyways, good luck

What?!? No Fear Factory??

lol I can't believe noone has mentioned Fear Factory. They created a whole new style of music basically! oh well. They are one of the few metal bands that I like. I mostly listen to goth/industrial, goth metal ,and symphonic black metal, though.
