how are you doing, i would like to start a Counter-Strike tourney or clan, or something, my friends here are losers *j/k* i know i have made a thread like this before, it was ut2003 ithink, but any way, im getting a new comp, and ill use it to host a dedicated server for us to play on 24/7.

My brother and I play on RunArena, Frankenstein CS, and Godh3ad.

I can post IP's later.

I play as [DIR]Apache and my brother is [DIR]Stick.

[DIR] isn't a clan, its just our way of statting together on server stats. DIR = Drunken Irish Rage. My brother made it up :)

It's pointless to make a dedicated server on broadband. A good server should have a ping of around 70, and kick people with pings over 300 or 400.

The usually get a ping of 128 or so on Godh3ad, which uses a dedicated DSL line I believe, while on Frankenstein and RunArena (vastly superior servers) I get pings in the 50's and 60's.

I'll post those IPs later. You should tag as [AO] so I know who you are if you come in :)

i play on both resents, resent-cs.com and cs.resent-cs.com if your not familiar with them, you type it in at the console like any other net game

abd i had a server for a clan that i usually play with *GLSS* i lost the ip but what ever, if we get something worked out, its allo good

the thing that's so great about this server... no Idiot admins.. like 99% of the servers out there, we all know eachother for the most part, we are there for fun, efficient cheater banning, competion is high but even if you suck it's sooo much joking around and stuff

what would you guys suggest for some good custom maps? i just reinstalled halflife and cstrike so i lost all my maps, but i redownloaded cs_assualt2k cs_assault_upc the ratpack (has most of the rats maps) and i also have a map called scoutznknives which is a lowgrav scout and knife only map. any other good maps you guys play on?
