yeah, theres someone back home i would like to give it a shot with. smart. good looking. can talk to her for more than 15 minutes, and i can argue politics with her. shes soft in all the right places. and she smells good. oh yeah, shes also been a good friend of mine for years. and i havent wanted to sleep with her the whole time. not my perfect girl, but one i would give a go, and try to make it last.

My answer - My wife; she is my best friend, my counselor, she doesn't agree with everything I say, and has her own opinions on topics. She is the most beautiful woman in in the known universe, Her family is accepting and friendly. She currently works at a local university, (free college! woot) - and she likes to learn. SHe knows me and still loves me. She is honest, kind, has integrity, and lovingkindness. Slow to anger, quick to understand and she encourages me to play paintball! God blessed me with the perfect woman for me!

I'm not sure thee is any such thing as "The Perfect Woman", but here are the traits that I find endearing-

-Emotional Stability (If you start crying over anything less than death or extreme disappointment, you're out)

-Good Sense of humor (and by this I mean you laugh at my jokes and make me laugh at yours)

-Intelligence (Yep, we all pay lip service to intelligence, but I mean it. I need a woman who can argue with me and be right some times)

-Fearlessness (The Timid shall inherit nothing)

Now on to the physical stuff

-Being pleasing to the eye (Hey, I'm not shallow, but if I dislike looking at you, you're out)

-Not Being Fat (OK, now you can call me shallow. I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of being intimate with fat...... Character flaw, I know)

-Style (No, not a close eye on fashion trends, Just an individual style that sets her apart without screaming "Look at me, I'm different!")

-Athleticism (Just be able to rush the tape with me, that's all I ask )

Or, you can throw all these things out and simply be Mila Jovovich.

Everything else don't mean crap...Love is a strange kind of drug. I've only ever been told that once in my life, and it was invigerating to say the least. Makes u feel like you can do anything.

Good thread. I know I'm a picky bastid. Let me go over some stuff. I promise it won't be cohesive or follow any logical order.

First off, she has to be able to put up with me. I can be annoying, tell bad jokes, babble on about useless stories for hours, and do all sorts of things that could drive a normal person insane.

But anyway, sense of humor is a HUGE thing for me. I want a girl who is able to laugh. First and foremost I put a huge amount of importance on the ability of anyone to be able to laugh at themself. People who can't do that often take themselves way too seriously for me to get along with. Also, I tell a lot of jokes. Most of them aren't funny, but every once in a while they are. Hopefully she'd laugh at some of them every now and then

She has to be smart. I need someone I can talk to, argue with, debate with, etc. I dont like when you are "here" and they are like 10 feet behind you, mentally. It doesn't necessarily mean book smarts, just a general intelligence and awareness thing.

The whole argueing thing would be a huge plus. Ask anyone I know, I'll argue ANYTHING. Its always friendly, even if it gets heated. A lot of my friends and I can argue for an hour on something, nothng will get resolved, and no one will be angry at each other, but it leads to interesting discussions. I'm not talking in argueing about who takes out the trash, I'm talking about debates over anything from gun control to whether monkeys are gay. Anything from the politically relevant to the absurd.

She should be assertive. I guess this is kind of obvious by now, but I want a girl with some attitude, not someone who stands there and lets people steamroll her. If she is prone to punching people who piss her off right in the nose, all the better.

Physically, I just have some preferences, but no guidelines. I like short girls. I'm 6'2", so you'd think I dealt with tall girls fine, but it is not so. Any girl over 5'9" creeps me out. I've gone out with girls who were around 5'11" before and I can't deal with it. 5'2" to 5'6" is perfect.

I prefer long hair to short, but some girls look great with short hair. Brown hair over black and blonde, but red over all others

Brown or green eyes over blue. Grey blue eyes, though, on some girls, are amazing.

Full lips are a plus for obvious reasons.

I, unlike a lot of guys, am not a huge proponant of large breasts. "More than a handful and you are asking for trouble" is my motto. B or small C, thank you very much.

I am a definite butt guy. While I won't cry of the lack of a quality rear end, a well-formed caboose is absolutely unbeatable. An ok-looking girl can be made hot by a stunning posterior.

I'd like a girl who reads. I read fairly profusely, and it would be nice to go out with someone who understood the simple pleasures you can get out of books, not to mention the information you can get from them.

I'd like a girl who likes to go out, party, and have a good time, but not a "party girl". Someone who is equally comfortable going out to a club or staying home and watching a movie.

The one "rule" I do have is I won't date a smoker. Will never happen.

There are tons more little things I could probably go on and on about forever, but the bottom line is all anyone really wants is someone they love and someone who loves them back. You never know where you'll find that, or if it will be ANYTHING like what you had expected or hoped it to be. That's just the way it is. But in the meantime, thats my list

i don't think that there is a "prefect" person out there, but my gut says that my little lady is about as close as i am likely to find. some of the top reasons:

-lovely, caring and a sense of humor that is black as coal
-can mindlessly dstroy dozens of hours on video games
-can take a severe beating at air hockey and not get pissed off about it (our current record is over 300-7, shes giving me a run for my money now)
-completely changes her looks every couple of months (its like getting a new loaner girlfriend every once in a while )
-loves paintball (i lost my black magic to her cold grasp)
-piercings/tattoos
-small enough to pick up and carry around with ease
-someone i can truly talk to, but also someone i can sit in dead silence with and not feel the least bit uncomfortable
-haven't had a reason to fight once in the almost 3 years we have been living togther
-smart, eloquent and a pleasure to bicker with
-gorgeous body
-has yet to become fed up with my..."personality quirks"
-knows how to throw a punch

there are buckets more, but those will suffice i suppose

I wont go into looks, because I could go on for ever. (Big boobs, height/weight, all that good stuff) I will echo the idea that she has to be my best friend, and be willing to put up with me and vise versa. A sense of humor is the biggest factor for me. I've been known to be a Jack-A55. I need a girl that can laugh with me, and isnt worried about "proper"

Here are some of the things I look for:

She's got to be intelligent...good conversation can't be undervalued. I really respect a strong woman...not bossy, but someone who can make it on her own, she just chooses not too. I love long hair, softness, and curves...also, everything that makes women women and not men (i.e. lace, smelling sweet, femininity.) She has goals, direction and the power to get there. She could throw on a pair of sweats and look drop dead sexy, but easily throw on some heels and a skirt and make you forget your own name. A woman whose comfortable enough with herself she lets you be you. There's a bunch more things I can list, but that's what's on the top of my head right now.

Luckily, I'm working on being with her right now.
