I know this isn't about Iraq, but it has to do with the war. 1,000 troops just launched a raid in Afghanistan. I wonder what's going on....

This is from the first Gulf War, one soldier is still presumed missing and there is some talks that they are looking for him. I think they said that he was a pilot that was shot down. I'll try to find more info on it.

Added: Pilot was Scott Spiker who lead the first air strikes and was shot down. He was declared dead but growing evidence suggest that he was alive and taken prisoner. Reports were supported by a Iraqi defector who saw him. He is still presumed to be alive.

yeah I just saw that too. On a related note seems that the top War on Terror official, Rand Beers, has resigned. Some people seem to think it is cause the War on Iraq is hurting the War on Terror.

those oportunistic targets are VERY unlikely to be successfull but you got a take a shot at it. If you succeed it worth it. But this one looks all prepared to be played when he saw we had bombed. Its not live. We would know where he was if he was brodcasting...

he also has several body doubles as well. But this is taped and preplaned to be played. There will be more of these.

I just saw that on the news, the CIA talking about how they might have a fix on him. I hope so, I have some friends leaving soon... It would be a very good feeling to know they were going over after everything was over. But probably not going to be the case.
As I said, just keep those people in your hearts and prayers, that is all anyone over here can do.

Jack straw british forgeign secretary says that the united kingdom will supprot iraq, with around 30 million pounds in the first month( i didnt get teh whole speech i just woke up) it maybe after teh war it maybe during the war im not sure right now

It said on the news with one of saddam's sons, if we were to bomb them (which we already have) we would see terror worse than 9-11 *cries* i hope to god that doesnt happen
