I personally would take the WRX any day of the week, possibly the Z, but I am sorry joez, a stock mustang is very close in speed to the WRX and stock LS1 camaros will destroy a WRX until you get some mods...The RSX is even slower.

Just remember, from street light to street light, AWD owns!!

Camaro's aren't made any more, and with parents like this this kid aint getting a year old car

Honestly dude, this is a horrible idea. First of all you have such a broad choice of cars there, you obviously don't know too much and are just doing it on looks. HONESTLY, a 350Z for your first car? Ever thought about giving some people a ride or something? The WRX would be my choice of the bunch, just because its quick, cheaper than the 350z, can seat 5, and has AWD so it'd be useable in the snow.
The RSX is just another honda, might as well get a 96 prelude or an older integra.

the GTS celica is good, the rest are dogs, but again, you're just a 16 year old, you don't know junk (hey, I'm only 17 but I know enough about cars to know I wouldn't want any of those 3 as my first car

If you want the style of the cars above, with the performance, and a way smaller hit on Mommy and Daddy's wallet, and also lower insurance every year, I'd look into mid 90's 3 series, maybe a Mustang GT (whatever year tickles your fancy), but again, that's a car with a lot of power on tap that you'll likely crash.

Get a few year old Nissan sentra SE-R or something dude. Cheaper, reasonable insurance, faster than it needs to be and it'll handle well.

On a side note, I hate you

          You people are ignorant....

          With things like

Gitaroo Man: "I"m not trying to bash him (well actually...not bash but point out) that a 16 year old kid should not get a car that is like anywhere from $25,000-$35,000."

          and

Zumina "You have some pretty liberal/ignorant parents."

These are signs of ignorance... Sorry guys, but you 2 and others in here are plain STUPID.

How does that make his parents liberal? How are THEY the ignorant ones? OH! I see... Because you didn't get a nice car for your 16th B-day?

I think you are about the most immature people I have read in here in a while. And what the hell? Not all of us young drivers run Shartly off the road (His car was not near as bad as it could have been)...

You all think that the numbers say all, well it doesn't... I got my license yesterday and I am 100% sure that I never sped going to my Pro-Shop, I never turned without a signal, and I never cause anysort of a reck...

AND, I got a car for my 16th B-day? OMG! MY PARENTS ARE STUPID! AH!!!!! No, in fact I didn't get near as good a car as this guy will be getting, but I will be da*med if it makes any difference...

Exactly, you got your licence yesterday. You'll drive cautiously for a while, then get cocky and do some stupid stuff. I'm a couple months from being 18, I've had my licence for a year and a couple months, and I still do stupid crap. You've been driving for a day, I've been driving for a year and a half say. You think you're a good drive. I know I'm a pretty decent driver, but that doesn't make me a safe driver. Going 85 on the highway isn't "safe" by any measure, but if you're comfortable and pay attention it probably is safer than driving around my school with the screwballs there.

Long story short, unless your parents are multimillionaires with an image to keep up, and you driving a "normal" kids car would tarnish that image, it IS ridiculous for your parents to spend 30 G's on a car. You WILL get in an accident in your first few years of driving, and it's better to be in a less expensive car when that happens.

Look for a nice USED car if you want anything in the class above. Those cars were all so different, it's silly. You might as well have asked " I can't decide if i want to get a Civic, a F250, or a Motorcycle...duuuh...help me decide"

the chicago tribune did a comapro between the camaro (yes, the ls1) and a rsx, and the rsx was 2mph faster top end, and only 1/10 sec slower to 60, and yes it is slower than a wrx.

And a 454 chevelle running 0-60 in 7.1 sec doesn't sound right... remember that the factory numbers from american cars of that era were really fake
oh yeah, the numbers back then were horrible, from the factory. and the 454 FACTORY actually ran 60 in 8.0 flat. the 396 was fastest from the factory. all the old 454's were dogs when comared to the 427 and 396. they just were big and had the BB sound. a 427 chevelle with the proper timing advanve, carb float adjustments and better tires would stomp a 454 with proper tuning, using all factory parts. now when it came to internal mods, and boring/stroking, remember, there's no replacement for displacemsnt
Black/Red Tribal 2.0 BBT, Morlock board, 90* Angel Space frame, to many goodies to list. SOLD

Considering quite a few of new Viper owners (whom are in their mid 30s to late 50s, which equates to 14+ years of driving experience) manage to crash their newly acquired vehicles within 5 miles from the dealership....

You sure about all of that? I just doesnt make sense that the LS1 would lose to a stock RSX... I mean those have what? 350 horsepower?

                          Anywhoo... check this: http://www.cccvette.com/1970musclecars.htm

I think they were a bit faster then 8.0 flat....

(Edit)Did a little more research... Look at what a AEM Modified RSX does:

"these mods helped hustle the RSX to 60 mph in 6.45 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 14.83."

While a 1999 Camaro SS (Ls1) did it in 5.6.

Yes I dont' have any first hand experience, but hey, I think the New York Times and Motortrend are trustworthy sources, eh?
