No, what you need to do is Read the rules for Paypal. Paypal works for both parties. I dont know about you, but there is "NO" way Im sending a money order to someone without confirmation that the product was sent with tracking number assigned. I have had one guy try to rip me off with Paypal and guess what, I got my money back with one piece of paper. Its called a reversal/charge back, the seller only had to provide proof of shipping and that someone actually received it and he would of been off the hook. No, there isnt a better way IMO to order from people that you dont know. If you are a buyer, youre Credit Card company provides the same service(this really pisses paypal off), and they "will" get youre money back.

PayPal is not a bank. They can do whatever they want with your money. As proven. If they went belly up tommorow, what would be your recourse?

i would get my money out of them because there are some laws in this country that protect teh consumer, if paypal went belly up it would be without paying there customers, and i dont forsee them going belly up charging 3% on the dollar, you sir are misinformed

                          Dansim,
I think what he means is that Paypal is not a bank, but a business. As such, there is no insurance on the money you hold with them. Were there to be an Enronesque scandal and Paypal were to be closed, however unlikely that is, you would not be covered for your losses. You would become just another creditor in their bankruptcy. With a federally insured bank account, you are guaranteed your money by Uncle Sam. That coverage costs banks money. Paypal doesn't offer that type of protection for your money.

P.S. Paypal is in serious crap for flouting the USA PATRIOTS Act identification requirements!
