What the Hell is up with Gas prices??

I live in Jersey, the land of cheap gas! Two weeks ago, I filled the Jeep up at $1.339 per gallon. Filled it this morning and the price was $1.629 a gallon.

According to CNN, the price jumps are because of the Phoenix pipeline break and the blackout. Neither of which affected South Jersey, nor the refineries in Paulsboro/West Deptford. Yet, prices have been rising by the day. There are not deliveries every day, ergo the only answer is price gouging!!!

Actually, gas prices are actually related to events that happened about a year ago.

Crude oil takes about a year to settle into the different layers which give us our various types of fuel. So there must have been an oil shortage about a year ago or so.

But yeah it is ridiculous .. these prices just keep rising.

Nobody understands my point when I say this, but the kind of service you are getting when you drive your car, to me, is unreal. I think gas prices would have to crazy high for me to care.

1.59-1.61 here although like 3 days ago i found a place with 1.55 but that has probably changed by now.....

the station by my house is selling gas for 2.10 for regular unleaded...did i mention i live in AZ

OMG!!! you guys are so lucky mines around 2.20 for regular at all times, no matter if we were in war or not, its been like this for several years, i live in northern california and we have the highest gas prices in the contry. sucks when your car gets 15 mpg

and its even worse here in the bay area. the cheapest you can find it, at all, is 2.05, and thats at a no-frills mom-and-pop station. at shell and chevron, its an easy 2.20. and here you guys are *****ing about 1.60...
