hahaha Nice fridge
When I first got my house my fridge used to have butter, milk, orange juice, Lager, vodka, Gin (and tonic) redbull, baileys, Raki, Kronenburg, export 33, stella, budweiser, White wine (3 bottles) and two bottles of champagne (for the ladies). And that was it!
Now it's just full of food...
Because I have a seperate fridge for drinks
and it looks kinda similiar to yours although a little emptier at the moment... time for a booze cruise to France to stock it up again. I keep it in my outhouse to help keep it all very cold. Kinda excessive having two fridges but I got given the second one so how could I refuse? It's fun having a drinks only fridge.
I'm now working on my 'bar' I have a proper bar pool table in my conservatory with a hatch through to the kitchen. I have bar stools around the pool table and am just working on a line of optics on the wall
I use the export 33 (very cheap from france) for guests and volume moments.
Guinness out of a can sucks... I'm normally a guinness man but not from the can. Once you've been to Ireland you are spoilt!

hey Wyn I actually may be on my way... To Detroit at the start of next year, coming over to do some stuff with Ford's design studiosOriginally posted by wyn1370
forget manike, I'm on my way.
If I come I'm seriously thinking about bringing my kit and trying to get a game on the weekend in the middle (will probably be there for two weeks).
Is there much paintball around there? Would love to try an indoor field. Are you anywhere near Ford? (I hear they own most of the city?)

Yep! that is indeed "the drink fridge" downstars in the Garage next to the old Brunswick pool table as a matter of fact. And even next to a few work out devices like treadmill, stationary bike and weights that go mostly unused...Nothing like a cold one watching TV while pedaling the bike eh?
Don't like the Guenness in the can myself either. But it somehow seemed incomplete not to have a few. For the Boss actauly. He'll drink anything.Comment

manike,
Sure, there are tons of places to play around here!
I assume when you mean you are coming here to do design for Ford you'll be in Dearborn or around there, In a decently snazzy hotel, and will have a company car at your disposal. I'm in one of the centrally located suburbs. Drop me a line when you're going to be in town. I was going to plan a Detroit AO get together sometime anyway, might as well push it back for you.

Are you going to the main headquarters (Dearborn), or downtown Detroit? Not that they're too far away from each other. I'm pretty close to both.
But there is a few indoor fields in the area, one is not so good (http://www.futureballpaintball.com/fortress-home.asp), the other (battlegrounds) is ok but overpriced (and I've got issues with the owner). I usually drive an hour to go play at one of two outdoors.Comment

Yep it will be in Dearborn, hadn't thought about the car, but yeah It makes sense to get one although you strange people do drive on the wrong side and last time I drove in Illinois I got followed by a police car...
I have no idea where I will be staying yet as I only just got informed it may happen last week. It may have been as early as the second week in January! But that might clash with my snowboard trip
so we are just sorting it all out.
It would be fantastic to get a whole AO group together. I love meeting people at events that I've met over the net. Made some great friends that way!

well if you're going to come, maybe we can get a few of the northerns to come down to our neck of the woods. There are not a ton of MI players that I know of on AO. I've tried a couple of times to get some together (usually short notice), maybe we can get everybody to commit to an actual day. When you iron out the dates let us know.Last edited by wyn1370; 11-27-2001, 10:26 AM.Comment

manike, They probably will supply you with a car. I have family that works at Ford, and I myself work at a Ford (and other Automotive industry) supplier company. I agree with wyn, the Fortress is a little crappy, and Battlegrounds is a little expensive, but there are a few other fields, and I'm sure we can get a group rate at a couple of them as long as we know in advance how many will be coming.
On a completely unrelated note, do you think you'll have the manikEMag ready for us to see by then?

When I know the dates I'll post em up so we can sort it all out
I hope to have the Manik-E-Mag done by then. I'm off in Germany for the rest of this week (gonna meet up with Dan from Triggernomics
so I won't be online much if at all for the next week)
But when I get back at the start of next week if I'm not training 8 people in CAD/CAM then I hope to finalise some jig designs and help out AGDE in machining up some bodies
If it comes to it I'll probably spend some of the X-mas holidays down at AGDE helping them out. I was their last Friday sorting out some machine code for their snazzy new mill. (and borrowed a prototype Extreme with ACE to try out
and finish modelling up)
Hey Philip sorry for hijacking your thread
