Bush has been notorious for not commenting on a lot of things. His general technique is to not lend credibility to stories by talking about them, and I agree with him. And it is generall accepted in only certain very small circles that it happened. Most people don't know or care enough to really think about and barring any kind of evidence aren't willing to make up their minds.

#2 A "C" average, even at Harvard, is not a good thing. Fortunately, the President is smart enough to surround himself with an exceptionally brilliant (if sometimes misguided) staff. Powell, Rice, and Rumsfeld are all sharp as tacks.

I'm willing to bet that's better then any of us did at Harvard. A "C" average at Harvard isn't great, but it's not exactly something to stick your head in the ground in shame over. There's nothing wrong with it.
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Well, it could be argued that the only reason Davis got elected last Nov. was because he ran against Simon Besides, that made the voter turnout so low that we were ripe for a recall.

That's totally true. Simon was too conservative to win AND ran a terrible campaign. If Rhiordan had made it through the primary (and Davis was smart not to let that happen) he would have stood a good chance of beating Davis.

He also never denied being a serial rapist! I guess the liberals could accuse him of it later. Or worse, they could have anonymous women go to the LA Times and make claims that Bush groped them years ago.

Maybe its just me, but I would prefer that someone who fared better than mid-pack at his college be President. If the President exhibited some sort of natural brilliance in his actions, I might be inclined to overlook this, but he has not done so yet (granted, thats just my opinion). No, I didn't go to Harvard, but I maintained a 4.0 GPA in college while working full-time and raising a family. If I didn't have to work, and I had gone to Harvard on someone else's dime, I think a "C" would not have been too difficult.

Keep in mind that the candidates that parties choose to run in a Presidential election aren't necessarily those that they believe would be the best leader. Often, the choice is made based upon who they believe is the most electable.

I find it amazing that a certain percentage of the population thinks that holding their elected representatives accountable for their actions is "sad".

By your analysis, citizens should be allowed zero recourse for bad government.

I don't think you have one bone in your body that will ever allow you to understand a single post.

People should be held accountable for their actions, that is why we elect people ever 2, 4, or 6 years. I am not a believer in the recall for it is a step to slow down the process of an administration and a step to gain political stance off of events that are not in the control of the state.

You all hate to blame Bush for the economy of the US now, but are so fast to blame Davis for stuff that he could not control.

Please, your ignorance shows itself time and again on these matters.

And to try and turn it around on those of us WHO DO UNDERSTAND what's going on is laughable to say the least.

And for you of ALL people to make a post attempting to hold other people responisble for anything is the utmost in hypocrisy.

                                Ouch, this from the "centrist"

People should be held accountable for their actions, that is why we elect people ever 2, 4, or 6 years. Yeah but what do you do when the promises don't equal the restults in any way? Just sit back and watch everything crumble around you for another couple of years? That's nonsense, accountability is key, and the recall is accountability. I love the recall and I hope people use it more often.

You all hate to blame Bush for the economy of the US now, but are so fast to blame Davis for stuff that he could not control.

Well, Davis hasn't done anything but to raise taxes, spend money on his prescious unions, and drive away business, and the people are tired of watching it happen. Davis inherited a very strong economy and broke it, but good. Now, he did have help from his liberal friends that crontol the congress, but he was the architect of this nightmare.

Bush on the otherhand inherited a weakening economy, the corporate scandals that Clinton planted (albiet I'm fairly certain it was simply an unforseen glitch in his legislation) and then had 9/11. Frankly, I have a hard time blaming him for that. Plus the economy is showing sign of life and recovering. Gray Davis has been running California twice as long and it has not picked up at all.
