Do you know why I pulled you over?

Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over?

Caveman: Um?because you could smell the freshly baked doughnuts that are in my back seat from a mile away?

Officer: No you were doing 78 in a 55! Is there any reason you were going so fast?

Caveman: Yes, your wife called me and said that she had not been properly satisfied since she met you. So she asked me to come over.

Officer: Well, when you see my wife tell her you are not in the mood because you have already been screwed once today. Here is your proof, if you can sign here please.

    After officer pulls away..
Caveman: You son of ... you no good doughnut eating fat miserable jerk. I pay your salary, you monkey lovin, highway patrolling, a-hole. Where's the aspirin?

Thats right, I got busted and a situation similar to this took place when it happened. Only in real life I of course didn't have the guts to back talk to him.

So you guys ever been bent over like this? What did you guys do? Any of you get off on a technicality in court or something like that?

I got yelled at once for blading to the shoprite plaza and me and my friends went through the drive through and the cop car was there we stopped. He then proceded to yell at ME for this and explaining to me that it was a drive through. And then made a joke about skate through. You would think they would have something better to do. Like on the road there was 4 cop cars a side checking the speeds and they use a HELICOPTER to check speed.

i got a verbal warning for doing "90" in a 65. he said he didnt have time to write out a ticket cuz he was on his way to an arson fire. i got off lucky on that one. except i wasnt going 90 first of all, it was more like 80, and he didnt radar me cuz my fuzzbuster didnt go off. and he didnt have his lights on and was going like 120. he turned them on as he was getting close to me. so therefore he was breaking his own law...i didnt argue, i just was like "yes sir, ok sir, have a nice day sir *window goes up as cop drives away* what a *insert string of words here* he has nothing better to do that pull over a kid in a sporty car, he's a *insert another string*." the passenger was like "...wow...that was close." (state trooper in a truck)

but i got off easy on it

another time, my friend got pulled over and they wrote the ticket 10 higher than it actually was. and we had root beer bottles on the floor and he was like "are those beer bottles?" how dumb do you think we are? (state trooper)

i still hate cops, even though my cousine is one. state troopers are the worst. anyone from wisconsin will agree with me (or at least southeastern wi).

          that's my experiences with them.

i never said i would get out of a ticket cuz he was speeding. all i said was that he was speeding. and he was going much faster than me and therefore couldnt clock me properly. the ticket probably wouldnt hold up in court if i got one.

thecavemankevin: "Officer: No you were doing 78 in a 55!" Hmmm....seems like a good, normal reason for a law enforcement officer to pull you over, speeding.

jah871: "i hate pigs, whenevrer me and a few friends go skateboarding we always get busted for nothing. we were skating down the sidewalk to get some food and the cop was like pick those boards up or ill confiscate the."
Hmm...was it posted 'no skateboards, rollerskating, or bicycles'? Bet it was. Your attitude towards "Pigs" is easily seen by any Cop, and they will question your innocent-or-not intent. Besides, lately I have rarely seen skaters simply rolling sown the sidewalk. Usually you are grinding a bench or wall or railing. Private and public property is destroyed, and YOU become the culprits.

845: "I got yelled at once for blading to the shoprite plaza and me and my friends went through the drive through and the cop car was there we stopped. He then proceded to yell at ME for this and explaining to me that it was a drive through. And then made a joke about skate through. You would think they would have something better to do. Like on the road there was 4 cop cars a side checking the speeds and they use a HELICOPTER to check speed." Hmm...you were in a lane designed for, built for, and used by 1.5 ton motor vehicles, and you are shocked that a Cop would mention that? Using aircraft for clocking speeds is common, pulling you over with a helicopter is a little exessive. No doubt the 4 cars were waiting for a signal from the bird. Yeah, you are right, they DO have better things to do, but that day they had to yell at some shmuck on skates in the drive through.

NikeMan: "i got a verbal warning for doing "90" in a 65. he said he didnt have time to write out a ticket cuz he was on his way to an arson fire"..."and he didnt have his lights on and was going like 120. he turned them on as he was getting close to me. so therefore he was breaking his own law..." Hmm...on his way to an arson fire. Well, that would sure explain HIS need for speed. Oh, and a code 1 means as quick as possible, no need for lights and siren. But when he rolled up on you, who was doing "more like 80" in a 65 zone, he popped his lights on for your safety, and luckily only gave you a verbal.

You should have told him thank you for doing a dangerous job, and putting his life on the line everyday, so ignorant fools can try to circumvent the laws and rules, and be indignant when they get caught.

Pedestrians have the right to be served at a drive through if the main counter is closed. This has been solidly established in court.

It varies state to state but in many states cops are restricted to all the same traffic laws as everyone else unless they have lights on.

I've been pulled over a few times (ok more than a few) and it usually pays to be respectful to the officer. The vast majority of cops are good people who actually want to help, and if you do get a ticket that's questionable contest it (the judge knows who the ticket happy cops are).

*Sigh* all that anger... DAMN THAT RAP MUSIC!

Out of all seriousness tho, the only reason that you hate cops is probably because YOU are doing something wrong. They just caught you.

Sometimes I can get frustrated with police men, but I respect what they do for us.

Really, the only thing that I get frustrated with is when they follow the Letter of the law, and not the Spirit thereof. Laws are made to protect us people, not to be nit-picky and such. Something like going 28 in a 25. going 3 mph over the limit isn't really more dangerous, in fact going EXACTLY 25 and having to look down @ the spedometer is probably more dangerous.

For the most part, police in my area are pretty good about that tho.

I cannot agree more, Sometimes though when an officer tries to go witht he Spirit of the law it gets thrown back in their face. I make it a practice not to stop someone who is driveing between the limit and 5 mph above. that is a good ground rule that most officers use.

When I do stop someone for a minor violation, (Minor Speeding, 6-10 mph over, head light/tail light out etc) I usually walk into the stop with the plan of giveing a verbal warning. This changes though when the person or persons I stop decide to act smart and talk back or be rude. Then last thing you should do is act like a jack a$$ to an officer. That will only get you a ticket.

I will admidt that there are some officers that will write tickets for anything they stop. These officers either have something to prove are are just out to be jerks, (yes, a cop saying that some officers are jerks) but the majority of us are really good guys that like to have fun just like you, except when the law is broken.
