Well Cliffio, if I was the one makeing the stop, It would probablly be a verbal, maybe a written unless you do something during the stop that changes my mind. I am very liberal when it comes to speed because I have a heavy foot myself. Now Don't quote me about every officer, because every one has a different set of rules they go by. Some are real sticklers and will write for anything, others maby will be even nicer. My suggestion is don't push it. You get to your destination just about as fast, and you run the risk of being late because you were stopped for speeding.

This rule also goes along with how I feel that day, just like everyone else. If I have had a real bad day, I may be a little harsher then normal. Just like if I am haveing a good day then I may be nicer.

The best rule is don't brake the rules. That way you won't have to figure out if I am in a bad mood or not.

I must be in the preaching mode tonight. LOL. I got off work early and am just setting here trying to stay up late so I can sleep all day. If you all want to try hard work. Try a 12 hour midnight shift in bad weather where no one is out on the roads. It's hell.

i travel I-70 between manhattan kansas and st. louis missouri, i usually go like 76 or so (on a 70)
i think thats pretty safe and never get any tickets
but ANYWAYS, there are SOO many people that go 80 and over, would i be safe following the flow of traffic?
say in a pack of like 4 or so other cars?

i mean people go FAST even with a posted 70

i just dunno, i dont wanna get a ticket, but i dont wanna be the one goin slow either, cause slow people cause accidents when people go so fast over the limit

I know what you are talking about, I live outside of Columbia, MO. and have to travel I-70 up to Kingdom City to my field. There are alot of nuts on 70. My suggestion is if you have a cruse control in your car set it. I usually set mine on my truck to about 74-75, and have never had any problems. The excuse of driveing with the flow of traffic usually dosn't work. The reasion a trooper stopped you would probablly because you stood out in the croud some how, even if you didn't realize it. In my opinion, 75 is not going slow. Yes you will have alot of people pass you doing 80+ but it is smarter to slow it down alittle and be safer. Slow people cause accidents but that usually is when someone on the highway is going 50 or less. That is when you have to watch out. Don't worry about it if you are usually running around 75, It is safe and you won't cause any accidents.

btw, have you ever stopped off at Battle Creek paintball? it's about a mile south off the Hatton exit just before Kingdom City. That is where I play. Just curious.

A friend and I were talking about Unmarked patrol cars a while ago, and he said that an officer in an unmarked car MUST be in uniform.

He basically said that if someone gave you sirens and lights, and wasn't wearing a uniform you could tell him to go and *Explitive* himself.

Not saying that you should be stupid and say that even if he has a radio, etc... but is there some truth to this? i saw an unmarked car a while ago and the officer inside the SUV was, infact in uniform.

nope never played there, i just go to school in manhattan and live AND PLAY near st. louis
i dont make lots of stops since its still like a 7 or so hour drive...
but its just like lately around here not that most of the construction is done, people go fast since there is nothing to stop them, thanks for answering


also, i have heard SOO many things taht cops "have" to do, its soo funny, that people think of tthings like that, i mean stuff like radar, and other stuff that polive officers can and cant do

Good question, I really appriciate all the interest now.

An unmarked patrol car is usually but not always a supervisor. There are also non uniformed divisions of a police department, such as Homocide and such that drive unmarked units. The best rule of thumb is if someone pulls you over with the proper lights and sirens you better stop. Even detectives and special units still have the power to conduct traffic stops. They may not have the equipment to write you a ticket or arrest you at that time but rest assured that a marked unit is not far behind. If you decide to tell them to go jump in a lake and ignore them you have just gone from a simple ticket for lest say speeding to resisting arrest and so on.

Open play on Sundays, They may be shutting the field down for the winter, I haven't heard yet but they usually do around mid December and open back up in Feb or March.

2000 Blue C&C with a CP flame drop and Pure Energy 88ci tank and a Fang trigger. I also use a Blue Ecplise Retro-Mini Mag with df and Freak system.

The Pics are old and may not be workign right now but if they are, I also have a skull mounted on the front of my hopper. You should be able to see it in two of the pics.

What type of shops you talking about? Paintball stuff... No, there is a couple of places that sell paintball but only as a side profit.

As for regular shopping, there are quite a fue good stores in the area, The Columbia Mall which is right off I-70 as you come into Columbia is really good with lots of good stores, depending on what you are into.

btw, what are you majoring in?

anyways, yeah my major is Golf Course Managment
its quite fun, im a sophmore this year, and im on our paintball team this year, last year i didnt cause i didnt have time, but this year so far its a whole lot of fun
