Interesting. We didn't have back packs when I was in HS either. And between class there was enough traffic in the halls that it could take you 5 minutes to get through it. You had to plan ahead.

My school is layed out in one lonnng hall awy, and there is 3 floors on each building. MY school allows bookbags but my locker is right in the middle of all of my 4 morning classes so I dont use a bag in the morning, but after lunch I bust it out because I got from the basement of one end of the school to the 3rd floor at the end of the building

Really, I only take 1 voluntary trip to my locker all day. And really, it's only voluntary because I have to hurry to get to the bus and don't have time to go after 7th. They won't let us carry backpacks around, so I just got a zipper binder and i have all of my subjects in there, cept for math because we take so many notes. We are aloud to get our backpacks after 6th because some people (like me) have 30 seconds to get to the bus. It kinda scares me now since they let people wear trenchcoats to school....I mean, a regular jacket is fine, but a trenchcoat is pushing it.

i go to Boston College High School. there are 4 different classroom buildings and now they are starting to build one more, ands its a huge hassle to get from the far end of the corner building to the far end of the other side of the school. we only have 5 minutes, and its near impossible to stop at your locker between classes because of some long walks. it works tho, cuz we are allowed to carry our bags around and can change all of our books at lunch

we were never allowed to carry back packs in middle school. It was gay, bc kids were immature and would always flip your binders. Now in HS, you can, and i used to carry a backpack. But now all i carry is a notebook and a planner anyway, so its pretty useless.

How exactly is wearing trench coats pushing it? It was said before but not everyone with a trench coat is trying to copy the TCM, dont be so closed minded.

My HS is spread out over a HUGE campus- 11 or so buildings hold classes. You have a locker in one- My bag weighs 20 lbs on average all day. I pretty much take what i need for the day and don't go back to my locker until the day is over.

Maybe the fact that the people who were involved in the Columbine shootings wore trenchcoats for the shootings? Maybe because a kid at my school was stabbed by someone who had a knife in his coat? Maybe because the past 7 drug busts have delt with people wearing trenchcoats? It may be different in other places, but it sort of scares me here.

(Please keep in mind that I'm talking about the big huge black scary trenchcoats. You can tell the difference between a coat with style and one that they're trying to wear to be "different"....just like millions of others. I have a trench coat that I sometimes wear to church in the winter, and it's totally different from what I'm talking about. Sorry if I offended anyone, but it's been a problem here before)

Shoot, getting a locker would be such a pain for me. My school is one story... and 4 buildings... plus 18 portables. We have the main building, which is basically split up into 3 halls and 3 courts. It takes like 3 minutes for me to walk from one side of the main building to the other. Then there are 3 halls outside of the main building each with their own building. Then there is like the portable section of the school... My school is too spread out to let me use lockers effectively since well, I'm always shafted and have to go across the school to go to every freaking class.

                            .

I think I win for the most number of students. Robinson High School in Burke Virginia, 4500 kids roughly from 7-12th grade. We actually had the largest gym in the state and 98 degrees (the terrible group) came and played a basketball game once. The best part was blowing up condoms and passing them around the bleachers like beach balls. Good times.

I was pretty popular in HS because i hung around so many different groups, so I thought I knew most everyone. During graduation as they were calling out names me and a friend who just happened to be sitting next to me kept looking at each other going "Who the hell is that"? My graduating class was only 475.
