Wicked just made a wondeful point. Also, it's not that a single cuss word hurts someone. It's that that word means things that can hurt someone. I wish I could include a link to the history of the F word, but it's just too innapropriate.

There's an article floating around out in cyberspace..Well probably hundreds of articles telling how FOX gave them the 'OK' to go on and start dropping F-Bombs. Yea it'll be a little strange to walk up to your 4 year old cousin and him say, "What the F*%* do you want?!?" Yea..I think something will go up against it then.

          TV-PG is bullpoop

PG in the movies is stuff like Lilo & Stitch, those kiddie cartoons and stuff.

TV-PG is more like a PG-16 in the theaters... its quite pathetic really. there's a ton of crap they put on tv [my mom gives me this speech every show i watch] and parents dont want their kids to watch it.

me as a 15 yearold very well knows that at the age of about 14 kids know about everything that goes on during TV shows, and as a matter of fact are pretty interested in the topics of the shows. that would bring the schools and books to blame... but thats another novel to be told and another fight to be held.

Yeah, whatever govt. organization censors TV gave the go-ahead to use the f word on regular network TV. It will probably take some time for people to actually want to do it, but soo we will be hearing it on everything from dramas to un-edited news quotes.

I personally feel that there is no reason to stoop to swearing on TV. Do producers truly feel impaired by the "forbidden 7" or whatever?
-For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philipians 1:21

-Don't try to use your fancy smancy "logic" on me! It won't work!

-It is better to stay silent, and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Were you droped on your head when you were 2? or are you two right now? If you actualy READ my post you would have realized that I USE the word gay and have no problem with it, It's when it's used as an insult that It offends gay people, like my friend, and I dont think it's right to associate all gay people with dumb, stupid and retarded. I would just link you to my post, but it seems to be gone, I cant find it when I search.

Before you try to argue with me go here first so you can come close to making a decent arguement, then go here to find a "friend" to talk about it with, cuz I know I dont give a rats *** about it what you have to say.

got anything to say for yourself now?

              Good.

they drop the f-bomb in PG-13 movies these days because no one wants to spend all that money to make it R rated because then if they dont have extreme swearing, ppl won't like it so they push PG-13 to the extreme

Blah, it dosen't really matter, I doubt any of your kids don't hear you say worse things than what was said on Fox. And if you don't say stuff like that around them, if they're in school, they hear it everyday. I think that its stupid to have to censor *words* especialy words that aren't even in the dictionary. As for having no censorship, if that were to happen it might actualy mean that parents would have to watch they're kids... OMG THAT CAN NEVER HAPPEN!!! The American people like censorship so much because they feel they can just sit they're kids on the couch with a remote and not bother with them for the rest of the day, and they'll be safe. And they don't want to talk about "uncomfortable" topics with their children, so if they don't come up they won't have to talk about them.

You must be talking about a different age group than I am... Gradeschoolers here bro... If my kids are in gradeschool and hearing this "everyday" as you put it, something is definately wrong. Once in middle school then I definately agree that things change, and it's pretty much a school-wide epidemic.

Do you seriously that Southpark is that much of an exageration of how gradeschoolers talk? You obviously haven't been in school for a long time.

I have a hard time believing that gradeschoolers talk like how they are portrayed in South Park... Maybe things have changed that much, I dont know.

I can assure you, that when I was in grade school, 4 years ago, You DEFFINATLY heard swearing every day, not to mention, that was durring the whole "suck-it" crazy that the WWF brought on us. SO I heard that alot too.

You are very ignorant if you think your gradeschoolers arn't hearing swearing and not swearing themselve too(face it all kids swear behind their parents back).

You think i'm "very ignorant" because I like to think that my children aren't swearing in gradeschool? Bah, that's complete BS. Maybe it has something to do where you grew up, I don't know. We have never had these sorts of problems in grade school (back in WA at least, dont know about here in VA).

Well I too remember when I was in elementary school everyone was constantly cussing and ya, the whole suck it thing was around then too. And hell the teachers aren't exactly perfect either. One of my teachers told me I was full of bull**** when I was in 3rd grade.
