Well heck I sorry you don't like rules. But we got rules here. For the protection of the majority. And we do the best we can to figure ways to give the majority what they want within reason. AND give the minority some space too.

I cannot allow 10 or 12 members to overtake the whole site for thier own personal use that thousands of others are trying to use. They are monopolizing the Friendly Corner as thier own personal Chat room. And its not! And if what is so important to them is a number beside thier name I gonna kick em where it hurt's to get em to stop. Because they have ignored me and many other members asking them to stop. Completely ignored it. I will have to find a way to take that initiative away that drives them to be so rude and selfish. And this one is my choice to try. I could keep banning people but I not really wanting to do that.

But you just go enjoy your forum without rules. Where ridicule and bullying is the method. Sounds barbaric and no fun to me. But hey! Its your choice I guess.

cphilip, I agree with the situation. I as an example of many of the members that have been active for quite a while now, have lost interest in the site. Although I check up occasionally. Im glad my cookies never cleared, or I woulda lost my password!

But, yeah it seems good to be able to catch up on a few days events by only lookiing a couple pages back, instead of 10 or so..

I would not be surprized if a majority of the recent increase in pwing traced back to AGD's original request to break the 1,000,000 post barrier.

At least from my point of view, the pwing went from 2nd gear into 5th, and has been stuck there ever since.

No it's cool.. It's not my forum so im not going to tell you guys how to run it..

And no the forum I mod at isn't barbaric, atleast not to me.. I mean it's not like here were everyone is loving and such.. But if you don't do anything stupid you won't get clowned. But if you do do something stupid, then lol, it's fair game from there..

BTW it's a hiphop board so it's quite a bit different.. No 'no swearing' rule.. None of that... Only real rules are no porno, warez.. etc.. And no racism..

I have to admit though.. It does get rather annoying with stupid posts there, so I can only imagine what it's like here.. But I don't frequent small talk so I wouldn't really know forsure.

phil- have the other mods and you considered doing it pbn style? if you have and decided not to, why? i am just curious, as this would solve this problem entirely. people would have their precious posts, but only if you choose to go into their profile could you see the exact number. people should gain recognition based on what they say rather than how many posts they have(yes i realize this would make me a peasant boy, but whatever).
