Several people have asked me about this, I finally broke down and made a tutorial. Its all in a single (huge) jpeg, so you can save it to your HD and refer back to it.

I'll link to it instead of posting the image (its like 4500 pixels tall )

Thanks. It actually took me a good while... I had to first remember how I made the orb, then I had to make it again and take snapshots of every step...:o
I got done, and the electricity went out before I could save ...

So, back to the beginning. The first time around, I proof read it. the second time around, I didn't care to. Also, I've been having some problems with my webspace (verizon)'s hosting... Sometimes I can see my sig, sometimes I cant. If you get a chance, save it to your HD so it will be available at your convenience.

Nice tut.

The best way to make a nice orb is to honestly just airbrush everything in. It takes awhile but it'll look incredible when done right.

That orb looks good but an airbrushed orb... mmmmmm.
