Are you trying to stroke the layer with the text on it? I'm not sure, but I think that tutorial calls for you to use a seperate, rasterized layer for the stroke.
If thats the case, its not letting you stroke that layer because its vector. (vector=based on mathematic formulas, raster=based on individual pixel's values)

That is most likely the problem. Or he doesn't have a selection so it doens't have anything to stroke.

Change the outer glow color. The default color sucks.

Hey wats a good file to save my picture as...as you an see i want the backround to be transparent, like so i wouldent have the little white box...any way to get rid of it?

I always use PNG 128 dithered and optimize it to under 20k (see my last post... up)

dup the layer, hide the background layer and use the magic wand to grab everything that is #EDEDED (0 tolerance, no anti-aliasing) and delete it.

this leaves a very thin border, usually no more than a pixel or two, around my image that smooths the transition from my art to the background color.

Use either "Save for Web" or "GIF89a Export" to save/export your gif (make sure that you turn transparency on )

Did you understand the "ededed" color part?

(just type "ededed" in the hex value box at the bottom of the color picker dialogue box.

This color should be the background to all your sigs
