I'm not seeing how homosexuality is a bad influence. It's not like the guy is going to be talking to your children about how he sleeps with men.

You're missing the point. BSA promotes family values. Homosexuality does NOT fit in with family values as the BSA sees them. So, why should the BSA allow men who do not support what the BSA sees as an important part of family values, to be influences on the boys?Originally posted by -Carnifex-

No, I'm not missing the point. I never said they didn't have any right to bar homosexuals. Hell, my comment wasn't even in reference to the boyscouts; it was in reference to rooster calling homosexual people bad influences.Originally posted by Sir_Brass

Hate to tell you this, but that's one reason why gays are barred from being adult leaders. Just by living the lifestyle they do, they are being bad influences on the boys they are leading. They may be good people, but what kind of example is a Scoutmaster setting when he is not promoting something that the BSA feels very strongly about? I'm sure the boys' fathers would be even less happy about it as well.Originally posted by -Carnifex-

The KKK has that as one of their goals too. Its easy to pretend to be rightous. The ACLU is perhaps the lowest form of life on this planet, save maybe PETA.
