Not only that, they can force DWI levels to be changed the same way. States lose Highway money if they don't change to 0.08 from 0.10!

The drinking age should stay where it is. Me and alot of my friends just turned 21 and half of them are not mature enough yet and drink 24/7. 18 year olds arent old enough.

Im pro two year conscription upon graduating from high school

In all honesty, i agree with the idea of 2 years of Civil or Military service upon graduating highschool or Reaching the age of 18 with no Dipolma. I think this country would be a far cry better than it is now.

There are a lot of immature 22-23 year olds, too, just as there are a lot of mature-enough sub-21 year olds. Twenty-one seems as good of a place as any to make the arbitrary distinction.

You should not force someone to fight for their country. To be active in government is voluntary, and you should not be forced to pick up arms. That being said, I would join the military if I wasn't already planning on attending college, so I will most likely join the national guard afterwards.

and you would know all about saying stupid things.

what i would love to see is something along the lines of work x number of years in government service, the military would be the biggest choice but you could have prision guard, ditch digger etc. for that service you would get a wage plus the same number of years in tuition to a state supported college. that way we can have a way to offer a good education to those that would not be able to afford it plus we can keep our country strong. it would cost a boat load of money, but might just be worth it in the long run.

Mandatory military service with the exeption of a draft = no good, and I think against what our country stands for.

"Pre-Bush I would have agreed, but he did a damn good job on declaring war on "whoever" without ANYONE'S consent."

How soon the mindless forget. Only if you think "ANYBODY" somehow includes the nobodies in the UN, would you even have something resembling a point. You see this country isn't run by foriegn scum. The only government we answer to is our own. Our government approved, and thus we go to war.

Yep its still like that. You either serve in the Military for a few years or have to do so many hours of community service.

He has Congressional approval for military action, and all the UN resolutions called for military force to make Iraq follow them, as Iraq had agreed to do.

Even the French looking John Kerry approved of military force against Iraq.
Yes the President does need Congress to approve of a war, but isn't the majority of congress Rebuplican right now? It seems that they will agree to almost anything Bush presents to them. Have they turned down ANY proposal that Bush has given them yet?

The resolutions called for Iraq to disarm all of their WMD, right? That is the reason why we invaded and went to war, right? Then where are the WMD? You would think that we would have at least known the general location of some of them before we went in. I DO hope that we are right and Iraq DOES have WMD, but until we DO find them we invaded under false pretenses.

I'm not trying to start a big flame war here. I am just genuinely curious to the questions that I stated above. If you can't answer my questions without civility then please don't repy at all.
