Don't matter to me. Not gonna happen here. We don't come under the FCC. We come under the TCC. thats the "Tom Can Censor"

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

Is the FCC is modifying its policies regarding the use of profanity and non-sexual nudity on radio and television?

          meh...

im pretty indifferent, i was raised where i was pretty much allowed to make my own choices and brought up in a very adult world, and i think that i am much more mature, and cultured because of it i guess its all about how you want to raise your kids...

althought the gore kid did get busted for pot, which makes me wonder if the music and entertainment is what drives kids astray...
Last week i thought i was indecisive, but now im not sure anymore...

Well, I do not like this one bit. The F word has no place on tv. What ever happened to being able to say a complete sentence without using bad language?

Cuss words are usually used for attention grabbers or the reaction affect. Why bother using them if that's what they are being used for?

Now I do cuss and I'm not saying that everyone that cusses using them for the reasons above. I don't but some do, especially teenagers (not every teenager). I actually
and don't put a lot of stock in the person who has to use the bad lauguage in order to get their point across. My saying is you can get more bees with honey than you can with vinger.

Trust me, People will take you more seriously when you can get your point across without the language.

Now this is just my opinion and this is not meant to anger anyone, just my point of view.

The FCC has some very strange rules regarding vulgarity. Look at the whole "community standards" and safe harbor with regard to what you can and can't say on radio. Add to that the huge segment of the population that has access to cable and/or satellite TV (who's channels do not fall under the thumb of the FCC) and you never know what you're going to get.

I personally have no problem with that kind of language, provided there's a purpose behind it. The S-word episode of South Park explains my point very well.

Why the **** would you care.

No seriously, what is so bad about a word, it doesn't hurt anybody, so what's the big deal?

                  Just a word?

You're a jackass. No big deal. It's just a word. Didn't hurt anyone.

....the previous use of the word jackass was for illustrative purposes only and may not be construed as a direct attack on anyone's stupidity, either perceived or actual. If it had been a real attack, the word would have been given with a 3-5 minute siren warning with an informational broadcast to follow immediately after.

censorship does drive me fing bananas. i understand that there are times and places where certain language is just not acceptable. i dont drop f bombs at my moms house etc. but if howard stern wants to drop them its fine by me. it really bugs me when people who dont listen to a radio show, or watch a tv show want to try to tell that show what to say and/or do. we as americans have the most bizare ideas on what is acceptable and what is not. violence is not just tolerated but darn near demanded from tv and movies, but dont you dare drop an f bomb. jeez, it almost drives me to drink.

My family cusses all the time. My mom said the "f" word at least 3 times yesterday at dinner. It may sound like I ahve some strang disfuntional family but because it's not a big deal to cuss at my house I don't really care nor do my parents.

It is JUST a word. The primary reason it is offensive is because some people are brought up that way. They said it can't be used sexually, so to me this is not a big deal at all.

I understand the parents that don't want Little Jimmy picking it up. Well I hate to break it to you but he is going to pick it up somewhere no matter how much you censor. In fact he/she will be exposed to many more much worse things and the "f" word should be the least of your worries.

Sorry for the typing errors that probably occured. It's pitch black and I'm tired.

When I worked retail at a computer shop. One day the owner pulled me aside and asked me not to cuss in front of the customers.

I didn't know I was doing it, but apparently I'd say some pretty foul stuff while I was talking to them..

"yeah, that pc over there is a f'ing pile of crap' or whatever. I wouldn't even know I was cussing, is how much I cuss, or atleast did at one point.

Agreed. It's like people think, "Ohh they are just killing each other. It's ok." But the second someone drops the "f" bomb or a girls shirt comes off it suddenly becomes the most indescribable horror that ever came about.

Hearing the "f" word at dinner time isn't what makes kids start doing drugs, or start drinking, or start killing people. If anything it's all these cop shows that depict dead people killed in all sorts of graphic ways.

I'm in no mood to preach my views but I do think that who ever is the censorship controlling god, has it all basackwards.
