You have no idea who I am, what nationality I am, what ethnic group I belong to, the colour of my skin, my beliefs, or my political affiliations. I hope that one day you spout off some of the same bigoted BS in the middle of a Spanish/Cuban/Black area of a major American city insulting them in the same way and get the living daylights pounded out of you.

FOL, how do you "know about FC's VERY well"? The same way the other pathetic nincompoops on this list know about France and the French? From propaganda, innuendo, and the crap that other bigoted/racist rednecks have spouted? Even if you've met a couple of French Canadians who've been real prigs, what right do you have to brush the entire population with that stereotype? I can find ignorant, stupid, and loud-mouthed Americans. As I can find despicable Canadians, or indeed French Canadians. I will not however make generalisations or allow those bad apples to prejudice me against entire populations.

When I lived in New York I found a good number of stereotypical New Yorkers. However I found a good many decent, friendly folk as well. The same can be said of my visits to Paris, Toronto, London, Munich (to name the major population centres).

And as for those that HAVE in fact travelled out of their little back water and experienced other parts of the world and their inhabitants first hand, take a good long think as to why all the people you met were hostile or unpleasant. It may just be that they are just reflecting YOUR personality and approach. As the saying goes: "The only common denominator between all your failed relationships is YOU."
