Just like we segregated black people... It was changed....

Just like we denied women the right to vote... It was changed....

Just like we denied people the basic freedom of choosing for themselves what they want to drink.... It was changed...

Stand strong homosexual people! If this amendment that Bush wants to put into the constitution is somehow approved...

It will be changed... Hopefully when people finally come to their senses and stop think of people different than themselves as lesser people.

That's my rant... Deal with it

I'm not really for it, or against it. But to answer your question, they want to get married because that way they get the same rights as a (straight) married couple. Like insurance bennifits and such....(sorry if i can't spell )

Also, not to make this into a religious thing, but everybody is saying "it's a sin, it's a sin" ok, so it is. But doesn't religion also teach you to treat your fellow man with equal rights?

It's also separation of church and state!

That ability to have a marriage in LAW should not be stopped by the conventions of RELIGION!!! You are blind if you don't see that!

Restola, You are an idiot! Those things you said are going to happen are never going to happen because they are ILLEGAL as in AGAINST THE LA. there are laws making those things illegal, for good reason. Children, animals, and dead people are not consenting adults, so get you damn facts straight in your predjudiced head before you come on here and act like you know everything!

Notice a pattern here? If people felt a law was unjust, they got it change the normal way. They did not try to force their ideas on society through wacky liberal judges who are dictating law rather then interpreting it.

Don't like current laws? Fine, Elect like minded legislators and have them change it. Only when the majority agrees with you should it/will it be changed. Maybe our society will be more evolved like Europe in the future and allow gay marriage, oh yeah wait, Britan, France, and Germany don't allow it either!!

1DE, I have to say I agree with what you said when yuo stated, "if you don't like a law, elect a like minded official and have it changed".

That's kinda what I am trying to say I would try to do in the future. I apologize for not knowing enough about the "Judge" issues to really comment on it, but basically you are right. These amendments to the constitution brought forth to the people of the USA more equality. I think that in the future a similar amendment would be made for g&L people, if in fact Pres. Bush's current ban amendment is put in place.

I simply believe that it is wrong for us as american citizens to say some people have less rights than others, Unless they gave up their rights through crime (i.e. prisoners should have less rights than a normal guy)

You're da man 1DE, i just guess we disagree on this one in some ways, and I'm fine with that, that's part of what makes this country strong, everyone is going to try and tell you what's right or wrong, but it is up to the person to make his own decisions.

                              speration, of church and state

church is no longer a huge part of our country as it was when the constitution was written, and now states want to deny people the privledge of getting married cause there homosexual? hey usa, grow up. who are we to say whats immoral about what two people do (of legal consent) in their own homes, they have found partners in life, why cant they get married, not all marriges take place in church, mine wont, why because religion means as much to me as squid(sorry )So are you saying im not allowed to be married because i dont want it in a church?Yes i think two guys kissing(and the rest) is gross(except for hot porn lesbos) but i have a neck, i can turn my head, and honestly i dont place myself in situations where i will see that, if i do, oh darn i'll either change the channel or not look. im pretty sure gay people feel the same way about straight people who are kissing in public. so where is it our place to say whats wrong about love, a few years ago i felt the way some of you do now, but i grew up, i no longer hate people ive never met for such stupid reasons, i now hate them for spouting ignorant nonsense on message boards

i would spell check but my microsoft word seems to be telling me what heat said suffer Bi*****
