sharpshooter, about 5% or less of the people who play sports in high school or even on a college level actually make it to the major leagues. Give the jocks a break, I need someone to flip my burgers and bag my grocerys. Seriously, it is bull**** for anyone to get special treatment at school. If they want to give them special treatment, do it outside of school, not by giving them better grades, easier test, etc. In the end, THEY are the ones who chose to play, no one at the school forced them to do it. Grades are actually important, contrary to popular belief. Well, they are if you want to go to a decent college. Playing football or any sport really won't benefit me greatly later in my life unless I'm lucky enough to make it big and get on a professional team.
Lets just leave it at, sports are for fun, grades are for your future.

) I dont know any teachers who give a's to athletes just for being athletes. did you ever stop and think maybe athletes have to study too? why all the hatred? it was football players who got all of the props in the fall, and its basketball players who get all the props right now. whenever acedemic season rolls around then its your time to shine.
