Hm... I dunno... My friend and I are going to different school now... Maybe it has something to do with my friendship with him?

Very possible. Has the friendship turned awry?"Men think they think upon great politcal questions, and they do; but they think with their party, not independently; they read its literature, but not that of the other side; they arrive at convictions, but they are drawn from a partial view of the matter in hand and are of no particular value. They swarm with their party, they feel with their party, they are happy in their party's approval; and where the party leads they will follow, whether for right and honor, or through blood and dirt and a mush of mutilated morals."

Not really... It doesn't seem like that but it doesn't seem like we hang out as much as we used to...

Oh, well you get the point one way or the other. See how much you can get out of a dream just by analyzing it. Keep this thread running by posting your dream tonight. I'll do the same, but hopefully mine will be lucid."Men think they think upon great politcal questions, and they do; but they think with their party, not independently; they read its literature, but not that of the other side; they arrive at convictions, but they are drawn from a partial view of the matter in hand and are of no particular value. I have lucid dreams. I have done so for as long as I can remember. I used to think sometimes that my imagination was a bad thing, now I know it is a good thing but it still needs to be kept under control.
I can control my dreams. I can have dreams so vivid it seems like reality. I can do things in my dreams which are fantastic!
I have only ever had one very bad dream. I can still remember it though it was over 12 years ago. The trouble with bad dreams is that it's your psyche doing what it knows you don't like. Be just a little careful of that
Sometimes people can wake me up (or think they have) but I am for all intents and purposes still asleep... not good when they tell me things or I say stuff and don't remember it.
I also believe I sometimes have deja vous on things I have seen done in dreams. I honestly think there is way more to my mind that I am able to use. I often do things like think of someone and then the phone rings from them. Or pick up the phone before it rings to call someone and they are on the line already.
I've been lost before with a friend in the car, and he's told me he there was nothing where I was driving towards (he used to live in the area) I said ok but I just want to try it. Drove down the road into a residiential area, turned about the 5th left and 200 yards down a residential road found the shop I was looking for. He was stunned. As was I since I had never been in that area before in my life and yet still went straight there...
A good nights sleeping and dreams goes very rapidly and is a great thing. Sometimes I can even fall back asleep and continue the same dream
I can usually control the story but I don't know I did until after I have worken up (I have a vague feeling I am doing it at the time I think...

I've had something like that happen in my dreams too... I dream up something that will happen years later...

I can sleep walk and talk, and wake up seamlessly between dreaming and reality.
IE Girlfriend called after I was asleep one night. I didn't remember picking up and talking but apparently I did. This was on a cell phone as well.
The only other thing was when I was 8 I dreamt that the house was on fire and my dad was telling me to take the dog and wait outside for him. So I did. My neibors found me outside crying cause no one else came out of the house. I have no clue where the dream ended and reality began.
It scared me silly at the time, but I look back and think that it was kinda cool.

weird... I used to sleep talk too... Like if my mom checked on me when I was younger I would tell her to go away because I was trying to sleep.

interesting...
Yeah, Deja Vu is a very interesting thing. Its been explained scientifically and spiritually. There is a major part of your brain that you don't use. I believe the percentage of brainpower that we, humans, use is 10%. Thats 90% of unused brainpower. I think that when we sleep we kinda delve into that 90%, but we never actually learn how to use it. Thats why I think lucid dreaming is so important, because you can explore your mind with no consequences.
Manike, it seems like you have a low-level lucidity because you don't know you're controlling your dreams until you wake up. If you practice some lucidity techniques you can probably master it. It seems like your already half way there. But thats a very interesting story.
vf-xx, thats a crazy story. Something like that happened to my cousin. She had sleepwalked out of the house and started tapping on the sliding glass door that connects to the deck. My aunt had heard this and woken up. She walked into the kitchen and opened the shades to the sliding glass door. There was my cousin standing there with a blank stare on her face and tapping the door with her finger. My aunt freaked out."Men think they think upon great politcal questions, and they do; but they think with their party, not independently; they read its literature, but not that of the other side; they arrive at convictions, but they are drawn from a partial view of the matter in hand and are of no particular value. gmag, I think actually I have a high level lucidity. I can control my dreams without having to think about it at the time. I know I have after, but at the time they just flow the way I want them to, I kinda know I am doing it at the time but don't have to force it. Afterwards I know I was leading it where I wanted to. I think that is very highly lucid?... It's hard to explain what I mean. I've tried explaining it to people before that had no idea what I was on about and they thought I was nuts...
I am but that's another thread

Well... do you feel like neo or morpheous from the matrix? In my mind if you feel like neo you're having a high level lucidity and if you feel like morpheous or the oracle it would be a bit lower. Either that or vice versa. Feel like neo, things would flow more radically and you wouldn't realize things as quickly but feeling like morpheous would be more aware of dreaming but less control of it...

Well maybe you do. If you have high-level lucidity you can have a lucid dream anytime you want. You do not have to perform MILD or anything. And you are totally aware that you are dreaming in your bed when you are high level. Sounds like you have a good grasp on your mental state when sleeping. Next time you're dreaming try to stop and do something particular. Just stop whatever you're doing and sky-rocket into the air like a space shuttle. Try it, you might have some fun."Men think they think upon great politcal questions, and they do; but they think with their party, not independently; they read its literature, but not that of the other side; they arrive at convictions, but they are drawn from a partial view of the matter in hand and are of no particular value. Well, when I get to the point of lucid dreaming... How do I fly or fabricate things out of nowhere?

i will try to remember my dreams but i dont really want to control them(i just want my mind to tell me what it wants), i always have deva vu and perhaps that 90% of unused brain power is like a vision of the future. If i could remember these dreams i maybe can know what is going to happen before it does. i can never remember dreams and that maybe why i get deja vu. I need to go to sleep earlier and see if i can harness this. Any other advise?-Minimag Body HR

To be exact, there are four levels of lucidity...
1) Pre-lucid
You have a nagging feeling that something is not right, but you can't put your finger on it. When you wake up, you realize:"Of course something wasn't right, I was dreaming! How couldn't I see?"
2) Low lucidity
For a brief period you are conscious of the fact that you are dreaming ("Hey, I'm dreamin, aren't I?"), but you can't hold on to that thought. Before you know it you go with the flow of the dream again.
3) High Lucidity
You are conscious of the fact that everything that happens is a dream and, that there is no real danger, and your body is safely asleep in bed.
Everything is very bright and clear. Colors are more intense, smells smell better, and it seems you can look infinitely far.
High lucidity will give you an enourmous kick.
4) Absolute lucidity
From the moment you fall asleep you know you are dreaming and you have everything under control. Rather than becoming conscious while dreaming, you go into the dreamstate consciously.
Right now I fall in between the pre-lucid and low-level lucidity levels. I'm impoving each night though."Men think they think upon great politcal questions, and they do; but they think with their party, not independently; they read its literature, but not that of the other side; they arrive at convictions, but they are drawn from a partial view of the matter in hand and are of no particular value.
