I don't care who they were, these were Americans drug through the streets... it is time to respond as Americans and I really don't care if any of that city is left standing when where done. Combat is combat... errors are errors even when the result in death. But start dragging Americans through the street and one should expect to see all hell break loose. Instead we taught them that we run away. Let the shock and awe campaign enter a new era, these people hate us and wont turn in their comrades out of loyalty, how about out of fear? This happesn in your town, and its leveled...

That is the absolutle stupidest thing I have ever read in my entire life. You are completely making up wild accusations based on nothing because mommy and daddy said bush is evil.

      You are an absolute moron.

Simple answer... because it DOSEN"T happen! If it did it would be ALL OVER the papers! Get it?

This place these guys were in is the hot bed of Saddam supporters. Its like his home town. We stayed out of it and now we not going too. Fact is this is a Sunni elite town from the past. And they not happy about not being in charge any more. The rest of Iraq is shocked and appalled at what these people in this town did. Give em a little time and they take care of this themselves. They know and we know that this group of people don't get it.... but they are about too. They just demonstrated they are NOT to be trusted and included in the rebuilding of Iraq... to thier own people! They jst demonstrated they want to be back in charge. And I know for a fact the rest of Iraq does not want them to be. So they going to bring down the wrath of thier own people now. Its high time.

I dont think he's a moron Restola, but we do kill civilians accidentaly, its friggin' war. If yah wanna' make an omlet, you gotta break a few eggs.

I'm very glad some of the people here who have suggested rounding up anyone caught on camera and slitting their throats or destroying that town, and everyone it it, are'nt making our foreign policy.

I'm sure we would really win over the Iraqi people to the glory of democracy that way

I'm just surprised this didn't happen sooner. Hello people, we just finished inflaming an already deep hatred of western culture over in the Middle East. Believe it or not, when we invaded Iraq not everything was peaches and cream. Families were killed, many people's lives were destroyed, and they're whole country was humiliated. Don't get your panties in a bunch, this will probably happen a few more times.

Do we say "hey those civilians look defenseless, lets shoot them". When we kill civilians its because those cowards in Iraq use civilians as sheilds to prevent there own capture or injurt. Then they say look how horrible the US is. Sadam did the same thing, he would store weapons in civilian areas because he knew we wouldn't bomb that area. Now these people don't give a damn who they kill so long as they get what they want. Who killed more civilians, us or Sadam?

i'm simply saying that we kill civilians unintentionally in Iraq from time to time. It happens. Its a part of war and always has been.

I also think people should know that are current military does FAR more to prevent civilian casualties than our country has in any other war in the last century that had widespread combat in urban areas.

Accidental, or unavaoidable, or even civilian deaths while accomplishing a military objective are oen thing. The deaths of these could hvae been... well I would nto have condoned it, but justified.

Dragging bodies through teh streets, be they military or civilian, should not be shrugged off is my point.

                      here are some interesting statistics:

Iraqi Civilians killed in Iraq: Max-10649 Min-8799

US Soldiers Killed in Iraq: 600

They have only been able to establish the names of almost 700 civilians killed in Iraq

how would you feel if your mom or dad or siblings went to work one day, only to never come home, and you would never be able to find out what happened to them? this is what these people are going through. they arent any better or worse than americans are, they have feelings too. no wonder they are so mad at the US for "liberating" their country.

in a way, you can think of the saddam:iraq relationship to the bush:US relationship. a lot of people in iraq hated saddam. a lot of people in the US hate bush (although bush hasnt killed innocent civilians...yet...j/k). if north korea decided that "hey, i hear bush has WMD, and he sucks at being president, lets "liberate" the US", im sure we would all be mad as hell, no matter if you liked bush or not. after they came in and took bush and his elitist ways down and set up a "peace keeping force", we would all try and get them out. dont think about how bush isnt like saddam or about n.k. or anything, just think about how you would feel if a country, who thought they were liberating a country, decided to come in and occupy the US. i would be pissed off as heck, even though i hate bush. they have no right to invade our home and kill innocent civilians. i know some of you are going to try and tear my comparison to shreds, but think about the main point on this one, not the details.

----if a country we werent very friendly with decided to "liberate" the US, how would you feel?----

edit: and yes, it bothers me that they drug dead bodies around the town, but this doesnt even show up on the scale of war atrocities the US has commited, in WW 1 & 2, and mainly vietnam.

and you may say "if our military is commiting all the unethical rights, why isnt it in any news publication?" but the fact is, the US military likes to keep a tight lid on these types of things. you think they would give journalists pictures of the people they torture, or the scarred bodies of civilians that our bombs hit? whether you want to believe it or not, our military censors what journalists get. i can gauruntee you that if it was US soldiers that drug iraqi bodies through the streets, NOBODY would EVER hear about it.

Only Bush Didnt kill Millions of his own people...

                            Gas the kurds...

                            Torture countless people...

Allowed his cronies to rape whoever they wanted...

                            Brutally opressed his people...

                            ect...

                            the list goes on...

If Bush did that I would let whoever came along liberate us.

To liberate means to be free obviously that WAS not the case in IRAQ under saddam ...

Your assertion that the media is censored is blown WAY out of proportion... We would be hearing from every arab network if we purposely killed civillans or if what you think is true. Al-Arybia has sites online too... go research those... Granted they are slanted in the favor of middle eastern attitudes but most of what shows upo there correlates with what we see here.

Your analogy sucks... if you can't see why... you're blind.
