it looks like some kind of giant spider or giant ant...really freaky stuff, wouldnt wanna find that thing in my tent. either that or its two giant spiders stuck together. still really freaky tho.

Yes, it is two.

And they ARE rather large. I however would like to see them with something that truly puts them in proper perspective in relation to their actual size.

I don't think there is any doubt that the spiders are several inches across, which is big & ugly enough for me. One of the good things about the north: small bugs, and few snakes. Heck, where I grew up it was too far north even for skunks!

Given the choice between snow & spiders, I choose snow.

They appear to be camel spiders, I could be wrong tho. camel spiders are one of the fastest spiders on earth. They are harmless to humans.
