He wasn't a minor, shartley, if you read the story, he had just turned 18.

Well if I remember correctly wasn't the child 18, and therefore an adult and not a minor? My feeling is I wouldn't have pressed charges. A good scare plus losing a ton of stuff is a good punishment for a first offense.

Now if this WASN'T the first offense I'm not sure I would've intervened till a mild beating had commenced. Eventually the kid's gonna have to get beat down.

Granted my opinions may change when I become a father, but I strongly believe sometimes the best thing to rectify a situtation is a good passionate butt kicking. I encounter many people everyday that have mild to serious personality issues and habits that thier parents have allowed to fester by sheilding them from consequences.

Even my own parents, now a decade later, have told me they should have blatently given me permission give a few beatings.

And as for correct paths. Well, I personally reported mail fraud against someone who stole my cocker and air system. I'll retry again here in a bit, but that was in october and I have nothing. And quite frankly no one cares.
It's HERE! Play at Shooter's Casino!!!!!! It'll be fun........

In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

              haha thats great.

Some kid tried to rip me off once...I didnt see the money for like 3 weeks and he didnt respond to one of my emails. I finally told him on a tuesday that I was leaving Cali on friday and I would be at his place in Arizona that night with my boys to get my money. And I also explained what would happen to him when I got there.

The very next day I got an apology email telling me how he was out of town and what not. Then my money came in the mail that Thursday. Its nice what a simple threat can get accomplished.

And why would anyone rip someone off by using there home adress? How dumb can you get?

Pink Lemonade through the nose funny!

As for ShooterJM, yes the beating is probably necessary, but it would come from me the parent. I'll kill someone before I allow them to hurt my child!

I love how the father handled this. A beating probably would not have deterred his punk son, so he hit him where it really hurt his $$$.

I smell something , and it ain't momma's fresh apple pie!

This story reeks of urban legend.

And Shartley , for once I agree with you on this.Being a parent coming out to see my child in a situation like that would have required several police and a meat wagon to clean up.

wait...the guy only grabbed him by the shirt. why is that such a big deal its not like he hurt the kid. And I dont even know why we keep calling him a kid. He's 18, and should be responsable for himself...not have to have his daddy save him when he steals and gets caught.
