well after all that blood and pestilence, that actually seems kinda... boring. :o

BTW- just curious, which version of the Bible do you take that from?

hmmm... I wonder if I ask real nice, He might let me be one of the four horsemen... Granted, I'd have to learn how to ride, but I think I got the whole "pestilence, death, and disease" down pat.

ZSigErik & FiRe - too funny!

Torbo - you have the best serious post, IMO.

WickeDKlowN - You make an excellent point, that eventually the Earth will heal itself, and go on without us, whatever happens. (Nice sig image, too)

Cryer - "... us and Israel against everyone else" - I think you can count on the Brits, too. And maybe the Aussies, but probably not those dastardly Canadians. :o

Cryer & Rather - "The Day After Tomorrow" is an environmental catastrophe movie, not a remake of the TV movie "The Day After" (which was indeed cool). The best serious post-nuclear movie I have seen is the British TV movie "Threads" (1984).

The most interesting end-of-the-world movie I have seen is "Last Night". The interesting twist is that everyone has known for months exactly when the world will end, down to the minute. So we see how different people have prepared for it, and how they want to spend their last hours. No, there are no explosions or special effects. It's a Canadian film, so there was no SFX budget.

I dont know, man... Blair got more heat for the whole post 9-11 terror hunt than Bush did. Not many Brits liked us for getting them involved.
And not to sound cliche, but the Aussies and Canadians?... Well, it might as well be just us and Isreal. :o

You got to remember, also... Spain's official position was influenced 180* by a suicide bombing. A couple of days before the election, there was a terror attack that swung the vote towards the candidate who was in favor of backing out of Iraq. Now that Al-Qaeda (and who-ever else) realise its that simple, I'd expect a rash of attacks coinciding with other countries' election dates. (Ours is getting closer, btw ) Who knows... with BinLaden's help, Kerry might actually take this election.

Your all wrong. it will be one of two things, possibly both, but not likely(sp?).

            A) The human race has a nuclear war shortly after myself and a young, attractive lady are sent to the moon to colonize it.

            OR...

            B) Everything you guys have mentioned occurs simultaniously.

            I personally prefer option A
            play for the game

"when i go, i want to go peacefully asleep like grandpa, not screaming like the passengers in his car." - Deep thoughts

What would you do without people like me to make life hell?

I think when the chips are down, the UKs nukes will fly in the same direction as yours, with maybe a couple "falling short" on France.

But Yeah, the non-nuclear countries won't count for much at the big dance.

Well, since no one else mentioned it, I'll take Edgar Cayce's prediction of a shift in the Earth's axis of rotation, or reversal of the magnetic poles. Either will cause all of these wonderful things to happen:

Inundations of many coastal regions, caused by a drop in the landmass of about 30 feet combined with a melting of both polar ice caps, including:

The loss of much of England and Japan.

The flooding of northern Europe, which will happen very rapidly.

New land appearing off the east coast of North America, the so-called "rising of Atlantis."

The widespread destruction in Los Angeles, San Francisco and the destruction of Manhattan and disappearance of New York.

Volcanic eruptions in tropical regions and an increase in Pacific rim volcanic activity.

A general warming of currently cool areas, and cooling of warm areas of the globe.
