On Clare: that's cool, you can't stay in one place forever, just don't forget your friends here on AO.

On DB: 'Bout time... and I liked the use of the word Jackassery.

I'm not sucking up to Miscue with this, but IMO, moderator's action are like ref calls. You don't always get a warning but they do their job the best they can, if you don't like it, suck it up and get over it, You'll be back later. If you REALLY have a problem, talk to a head judge/head ref (Tom/other mods) about what you can do to come back.

I don't play tournies, so ref calls don't bother me as much, but I can still get mad when ref's make bad calls.

I agree.. I mean I didn't agree with anything he was saying but he is titled to his own opinion.. Others were flaming him to a bit *cough * Havic *cough* (no offense) but you arn't to eager to ban them..

He wasn't really right in talking all that crap about clare but still.. Thats no reason to ban him, he was probablly just having a bad day.

You know Miscue, I was threatened with a perm ban for saying the "D" word, but you say the "A" word and its ok. I use the starting letter solely because im sure i'd get banned otherwise.

Just like No_skillz, Dirtybunny was banned for NO reason. He didn't even start the flaming; he simply suggested mailing the gun to the hotel, and Havoc fealt he needed to flame.

You do a good job at being biased. Need I even bring back the last three day you slapped me with?

May as well throw this in... I am not on anybodies side here. I think havoc and dirtybunny were both being idiots... but if your going to ban DB, ban Havoc to or face being deemed a biased mod.

EDIT: We all know how I can get a little carried away when I disagree with someone, so dont expect me to chime anything else in besides this. I'm not about to start flaming a mod just because I think he made a bad decision (which I think he did).

Second of all, obsession is when it becomes a huge additon to your life, I usually just act like a fanboy on AO, it's not a true 'obsession' like so many claim. Call it that if you want, I won't argue that further. And I was never supporting an unfair ban, I just thought it was nice to see someone finally get hushed for a bit to let the arguement cool down, I never took sides. If you noticed, Havoc never made any comments to be, so I never made any comments to him. And the fact that Clare is attractive is one thing, but to assume I just want to get 'closer to the inside of her pants' in another, and frankly I don't see how that even matters. I'm not the kind of guy that thinks of getting in the sack with every hot girl I see. I do have a large respect for her, and thus, not just a 'sex' icon to me. I wont debate this further, call me a coward if you must for leaving this arguement. But I don't want anyone else getting banned, including myself for an arguement that can be stopped. And no, i'm not ding this to be the big man or noble, I just don't like arguing on AO.

True, but for all I know, maybe he has previous 'credentiqls' to account for. I'm not Miscue, so I don't know the 'true' reason for the ban. And yes, i will admit when he used the 'a' word, it was unfair for the rest of AO when we get in trouble for saying something bad.

That is true, but DB made comments to me, Havoc didn't. If Havoc made comments to me and got banned for a few days, I'd likely give him the same reaction.

I do apologize to DB for having an unfair banning with Havoc getting no warning as well. But I also can't do anything about it.

But what should older, past credentials matter? He got banned for the occurances in this thread... not a different one.

A. Trust my judgment - and view my track record.

B. Understand that I have information that you do not to make informed decisions.

C. You do not see everything that goes on, nor should you, like warnings which may be sent by PM.

D. None of us lone wolf things around here. Any action we take is reviewed by others - I noted my action in the moderator forum like we always do. And you yourselves can review our actions - which is exactly what I'm responding to in this post.

E. Note that I did nothing to hide the fact he was banned - with a stealth ban. In fact, I am allowed to do so if I choose. However, as a courtesy we don't hide much and you can see what actions we take - and see for yourself that we are doing as we should.

F. Any bans that are permanent or for an extended period - are reduced if a user... I won't tell you. However, if trust is breeched after reducing a ban - longer than normal bans could very well follow - such as in this case. DB was already let off a perm ban at least once.

G. If someone is banned for something in just one thread, do not assume that is the only reason. More times than not, there's more to it than that. A history of being a PITA changes how individual actions are treated. This is why, sometimes two people will do similar things in the same thread - yet one may get a warning, and one may get the boot.
