What are you looking to spend?? Do you want something you can put the kids in too? That list goes all over the place.

Jeeps are pretty nice for a family car, and the rubicons are 18 inches longer I believe, and that is a big plus.

Personally, I dont think it gets any better than this for a 2 door roadster drop top. These cars are works of art:

          Z4 Link

But not practical if you need to tote the kids around too.

              Random ramblings..

The '04 Mustang GT's are a sweet car, but why not wait a bit longer and grab an '05? Gorgeous, and faster than the '04

Rubi's..there's not much you can say about 'em..Best factory Jeep. Ever. Dana 44's front & rear, stock. The things a beast from the getgo, and so much easier to drop in a new suspension for the real fun..

Z3's are crap. Period. Like mango said, the Z4's are better, but still not worth the $$, IMO.

Saab, can't say anything about it..

Good luck on your hunt 1DE

Cost is no big deal. I just have no idea what to do here. The wife wants me to get the Wrangler, my brother wants me to get a mustang like his, pop is offering me the Z3 and I like tha Saab alot, but it is twice the cost of the rest so I am uncertain!

You are thinking of the Wrangler Unlimited.

And the reason for the Z3 being listed is that my pop is buying a Z4 for my mom, so he said I could get the Z3 for whatever they offer for trade in. Si it will be the cheapest option, but the most impractical.

I would opt for the new Mustang in 05. Plus you might get some customer loyalty deals? And it will be new and turn lots of heads. Get a maxed out GT.

Depends on what you're using the thing for..Being both a Jeep guy, but having a severe thing for 'Stangs as well, I'm torn..

If you go Jeep, worry not about noise, I'm pretty certain the newer soft-tops are all sailcloth, more or less the same as a hard-top, only not

The new 'Stangs also have more power across the board (finally!) so you can have just as much fun (albeit, different kind) in there.

Tell ya what..you buy both, and I'll rotate days w/ ya

Rubicons are definatly nice. My bro has a white one(manual) and loves it. Only thing is that there not the best on the high-way and long trips.

Personally if I got to choose a car right now I'd pickl up one of the new Dodge Magnums. There such sharp looking cars and the 5.7 liter hemi u can get in them is FAST. Plus the all-wheel drive versions will be out soon.

                        Good Luck!!

Oh ya, as far as Mustangs, there nice cars but it seems like everybody and there brother has one. I prefer having something not seen day to day, like a Viper.

Scott, it looks like you are looking for something fun and fast, as well as a little spacious. This is why im going to reccomend the Rx8 to you. I think you would really really enjoy it. it is faster than the bmw z3, and it handles like a dream. it was nominated the top car of the year on topgear, and was only beat out by the rolls royce.

It is an amazing car, and im sure you will love it. Just, make sure you test drive one ok? you will love it. The automatic, well is nice, but you really need to get the stick.

also, i can fit in the back. and you know im not a small guy. i just rode to and fro from mantua nj in the back today, with no complaints.

the car is fast, furious, and when you arent speading around corners, and using its amazing handling and speed combination, it takes off its mean suit, and becomes relatively calm. i recomend you go here, and check out the vid. right click, save as.

I can pick up a new RX8 down here in Northern VA for 23k, but I really want a convertible. I have heard nothing but raves about the RX8's engine, but it is still a hardtop.

This is the problem with the 05 Stang. No convertible till next year.

LOL, that engine produces a laughable amount of torque. The hottest convertible out now, in my opinion, with a STRONG engine is the 350Z convertible. It's humpable.

                              Now THATS a gorgeous convertible.
