im going to look into a 300zx, i was looking at them before, but my friend told me that theres alot of problems with them? is that ture, or is he just bull****ting cuz he doesnt want me to have a faster car than him.

and yes, i am responsible enough to not endanger myslef or the lives of others, no matter how fast i drive, i always know when to slow down, and i only drive fast on roads that are extremely familiar to me... come on guys, give me some credit

Familar to you doesn't mean that there isn't going to be someone backing out of a driveway without looking, someone crossing the street, someone stopped in the middle of the road or the side of the road, someone driving over the line, an animal running into the road (at high speeds hitting an animal can send you into a nice spin), any other obstruction or patch of wet pavement, maybie there is some sand or leaves in a spot that their wasn't yesturday.

I say look for an old M5. They may not look as cool as the new cars but they can handle like champs and are quick. 318's arent much in the speed department. If you get a bmw atleast go with a v6 like a 325 or something

doesnt matter how good of a driver you are. if you speed you always run the risk of hitting a kid, or something else. even when your not speeding people can still get hurt. a class mate of mine died this year when the car she was riding in rolled on the high way, no drugs, alcohol or speeding was involved, there not sure why it rolled. the driver ( her boyfriend) goes into depression when people talk about it so they never really found out. another friend of mine just hit a telephone pole recently.

i know im not the person who should me telling you not to speed but i made my mistake, and learned from it, adn i dont speed anymore.

old m5 is still WAY outta the price range. and for the record BMW doesnt make V6's ( they make straight 4's, 6's, and V 8, 10, and 12's)

i agree though a 325 would be a fun car, available in convertable

Noone is debating your driving skills. The best driver in the world would be in trouble in one of the situations I mentioned.
