...Sometimes when i browse AO, the sigs become how i identify people...The sigs are unique and allow you to attach them to a certain poster and a certain personality...and it sets the users on AO apart

My posts, regardless of whether or not some find them "useless" or "pointless" are in fact constructed correctly with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. The point is many people on here hate change and have a knee jerk reaction to it. It's easier to react with anger and discontent than to try to understand and accept. The people in this thread that judge a book by its cover stand out pretty well so I need not name names.

books have covers for a reason. if they didnt you might end up picking up a book on blind midget orgies and not realize it until it was too late. covers on books = good

i vote that we require all members to have a posting license. tests would include grammar, basic spelling, and ability to follow simple instructions. there would also be basic logic and reasoning tests such as the ability to put ideas into a proper sequence as well as form logical connections.

What I find funny about this post is the grammar mistakes in the post complaining bout people using bad grammar while posting. First mistake not capitalizing the letter I which was also the first letter in the sentence, so you made 2 grammar NO-NOs in one. ANd throughout the rest of the post you didnt capitilize the first letter in any sentence. SOO i believe you jsut failed the grammar test that you called for.


And mango wasnt your sig just one giant smiley with its eyes moving, and now you are complaining about people putting smileys in their sigs.

I never once complained about people using anything in thier sigs; keep up! I merely stated reasons that *I* think are valid points to use Avatars. Sigs are soooooo 2000.

bzzzzt. sorry you lose. capitalization does not fall under grammar. grammar deals with how you put words together not how you write them. neither capitalization nor punctuation is included when we talk about grammar. i'm going to ignore your use of "bout", "2", "ANd", misspellings, and your faulty punctuation. what i'm not going to ignore is the fact that you can't read. i posted previously about not posting the way you would to pass the test. i also posted about capitalization being overrated. you also screwed up your complaint about mango. he complained about CROWDING a sig with smilies. not only was his sig a single smiley but it was one that was not available here. if i could i would take away your dance privileges. you have no reason to dance. you earn zero points. you loooooooose.
